The ancient battlefield looked different now.

The ground where Malachar had been sealed glowed with soft silver light. Not harsh. Not blinding. Just a gentle reminder of what lies beneath.

Peaceful.

I stood at the edge of the battlefield with Gray beside me. We'd come back one week after the sealing to check on it.

"How does it feel?" Gray asked.

I reached out with my senses. Felt the seal. Strong. Unbroken. And beneath it, Malachar's presence. Contained. Sleeping.
