Aurora’s POV

I stood in the bathroom for a few minutes, trying to breathe past the dull ache twisting in my stomach.

The warmth of the water running in the sink did little to help. I pressed a hand against my abdomen and sighed.

Blue was quiet in my mind, but I could sense her mild concern. You should tell him, she said softly. He’ll understand.

“I know,” I murmured. “I just… it’s embarrassing.”

“No.” I swallowed. “Disappointed, maybe.”
