The entire hall was as silent as a graveyard when the minister, standing at the altar before Elena and Gael, asked if there was anyone who would oppose the marriage. His eyes scanned the crowd, searching for any sign of dissent. When he found none, he repeated the question a second time, and still, there was no response.
