Chapter Seven

Tex

I knew she would be trouble. She was always conservative and would protect my identity if she found out, but now, she is using it against me. She's different. I could feel it.

She doesn't expect me to show up at someone's house and murder the person like I was some kind of assassin. I expected her to be scared, to freak out, but then she finds it amazing.

Here I am, stalking the man she had assigned me to kill. If she wants revenge, it should definitely be a slow and menacing one.

Merlo. The infamous billionaire. Seriously? I'm not her husband just to stalk her ex. I wish she'd just recall her memory of the night she drowned.

She was about to tell me something vital on the phone regarding the one person I sought after and sent me an address only to find her lifeless body in the pool.

My phone buzzed, and I let out a silent hiss when her name was the first thing that popped up. To worsen it, if I don't reply, that video would be out and her father is tailing on me just to find a fault.

After her three attempts, I decided to respond to the fourth call when I heard a knock on my window. Slowly, I turned around only to find her hands plastered on the window and her face glued to it like a wandering ghost.

Shit! My soul almost flew out. How did she get here? I gestured to her to turn around, and she did like a criminal, judging from how she kept peeping to and fro.

She got inside the car, took off the hoodie and faced me. I almost had a panic arrest with those eyes of hers, her hair as they dropped flawlessly on her shoulder, her lips she keeps licking and her hand... it was on my thigh while the second kept knocking at the dashboard.

Her fragrance was alluring, and I could look at her all day, but it was time to wake up.

"Is he dead yet?" Her voice mutters as she scratched my thigh with her fingers. I guess it's subconsciously because her attempt made my hair stand at its end.

"You don't expect me to rush in..."

She suddenly grabbed my collar, pulling me closer to her and glaring into my eyes.

"Do it!"

"What? "Kiss you?" I asked, drawing my lips closer to her, but she shoved my face away and growled.

"You have one job! "Tex just set the place on fire, you know how you do your thing!" She scolded and I felt like a child again. She's damn hot and daring. Why didn't she notice this?

I felt like grabbing her hair, slamming her into the window and kissing her ardently so that she'd lose her breath.

Her lips were moving, her hands flailing up as she seemed to work up, but I didn't hear a sound because I was lost, lost admiring her body until another knock on the window.

We both threw our gaze to take a glimpse at who it was.

"Merlo!" We both screamed and then glanced at each other. Her rage increased and I knew what was ringing in that monstrous mind of hers.

The bait is set. She wasn't saying anything now, but she nodded her head, meaning I should get him. Her eyes were the definition of fury, and she gestured to me to shoot him right at that moment.

I drew the glass down to look at him properly. He had a sober look on his face, trying to look at Lucy, but I obstructed him.

"What is it?" I muttered, staring at him despicably. I still have a beef against him because of camilia. I just have this feeling that he must have killed her or pushed her too far to commit suicide.

"Do you mind joining us for coffee? We'd love it if you did."

I shifted my face at Lucy, who shook her head vehemently while covering her face with her hoodie properly. It's just weird why he'd offer us coffee.

He grimanced and then popped his head closer to mine, which disgusted me.

"I'm a huge fan, sir, and it would really be an honor..."

"Fuck off! "He said no!" Lucy yelled from where she sat like a woman on fire. I was shocked too, but then that was insane.

"You heard her, we don't like fans like you" I muttered, drawing up the glass of my window and then took the steering wheel to start driving. I forgot my identity in the billionaire world for a moment because of this woman.

Please let her not start her madness.

"You would have just pulled out your gun and blown his head out", her voice echoes immediately we hit the road.

Damn it, that prayer didn't work.

"I don't kill my fans" I muttered even though I hated myself for saying that.

"That's ridiculous, are you trying to play saint when you're a sinner?" She judged, the truth of her words sinking down my bones, but I was quiet.

However, she was just throwing things out of proportion and ranting at me.

"What! You're useless then. I guess your parents would really regret having you."

"Don't talk about my parents!" I snapped, and she adjusted herself to the seat like she had found the perfect weapon to tame me down.

"Wow, you got daddy issues? Or you have a mom who you promised to be good to, and then she ended up birthing a murderer." She barked in a sarcastic tone and I threw a fierce look at her, hit the car and got out.

She looked stunned at me as I turned around and opened her car door.

"Get out!"

"What? I'm not, my father would definitely..."

"I don't care, get out of my car" I ordered, pulling her out and she stuttered aside.

"You can't just abandon me in the middle of the road" she screamed, kicking the tire of my car, but I didn't mind.

"Figure yourself out, your father can come pick you up", I concluded with so much rage in my eyes and I got inside the car.

Damn it! It's suddenly raining, but I'm not picking her up.
