Chapter 3-She Actually Has a Rolls-Royce at Home?!

Bailey bit her lower lip and said nothing.

But her eyes stayed vigilant. Resistant.

The man considered her demeanor and thought she was silent because too shy and embarrassed.

But his signal for departure had already come, and he really had no time to stay and press her for answers.

He impatiently swept gaze over Bailey and finally settled on the necklace hanging around her neck.

He reached out and yanked the necklace off, then put it in his pocket.

He said to Bailey, “This train will reach Hardy Pack in one hour. I will send someone to meet you at the station. I have urgent matters, so I cannot take you. Goodbye.”

He tucked the necklace away and left in a hurry. Only his fast steps stayed in the corridor.

Bailey watched him go, her mind full of questions.

He looked about twenty-four or twenty-five. Tall, long legs, straight shoulders, a clean jaw, dark hair pushed back by his hand, and calm eyes that looked sharp. Very handsome. Very sure of himself.

But what truly shocked her was the aura around him. Since she was a child, Bailey could sense the energy of wolves. In her eyes it was color and waves. Ordinary wolves were a faint glow. High-level wolves were brighter and thicker, easy to tell at once.

This man was different. Gold did not only shine on him, it burned.

The floor gave a deep hum and the lights above flickered once before they steadied. A thin crack spread across the corner of the window under her palm, as if the glass also felt it.

Her wolf rushed up inside her. Ears flat, fur standing, chin wanting to lower. Her canines ached and her nails tingled, like claws trying to come out. The pressure kept growing until her eardrums felt like they were being shattered.

His power did not only look strong. It carried force that made others want to bow. Bailey still reached for it, because this was her habit. She sent out a small psychic thread and touched the edge of his aura.

Pain stabbed behind her eyes. Static snapped across her teeth. All sound vanished, then slammed back twice as loud.

She grabbed the seat to stay up and her vision swam. Her body reacted before her mind. Her stomach turned and her knees went weak. Her wolf gave a short, broken whine and then went very still, pressed down by a power that felt old, older than rank or pack.

He had said he would send someone to pick her up at the station. That meant he had reach and people and cars and eyes. Bailey did not trust that.

So when the train neared the border of Moonlight Pack, she stood on weak legs, kept her head low, took her bag, and slipped out the door.

The sky was not fully dark yet and the air felt heavy, like rain would come. Bailey stood by the roadside with her ears still ringing. Her wolf lay quiet but alert under her skin. She looked around and thought about where to stay for the night.

As she tried to think of an option, the sound of a car driving her way, interrupted her thoughts .

A car in clearly poor condition slowly approached her.

The rear hood was raised high, the body had multiple dents, and the windshield was shattered in several places, making it look like it had just been through a serious accident.

To Bailey's surprise, the car came to a stop right in front of her.

The car door opened, and the driver, who wore white gloves, dressed in black suit, got out, respectfully opening up the rear door of the car.

Bailey raised a brow, slightly, her gaze falling on the car that was slowly came to a stop.

The car door opened, and a young man stepped out with ease.

Her perceptive ability instantly captured the aura radiating from the other person's soul.

His Halo wasn’t ordinary. It shimmered with a mysterious and unique hue, faintly revealing a powerful aura akin to endless wealth.

The man approached Bailey apologetically, his eyes gentle as he said,

"I'm sorry, Bailey. I just went to the Moonlight Pack to pick you up, but I found out you had already left by train, so I chased after you all the way. On the way, a truck rear-ended me, and the car lost control and crashed into the railing. I'm sorry for being late."

The man was slightly taken aback by the sight of Bailey.

The girl before him had long, curly blonde hair and blue eyes that resembled deep, precious gems—so beautiful that one couldn't look away. she bore a striking resemblance to the queen in her youth.

But compared to the Queen, the girl possessed a unique aura, more charming and captivating.

"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Ethan… I am your brother. " the man said with a warm smile.

Bailey looked at him, completely puzzled. "How did you know I was here?"

"I have a friend who works at the train station. I asked her about your itinerary and learned that you had just gotten off here, so I hurried over by car. I didn't expect to encounter this accident and ended up damaging the car," Ethan explained.

Bailey looked at the car again.

With her discerning eye, she immediately recognized it as a Rolls-Royce bespoke edition, the only one of its kind in the world, worth over a hundred million.

This was completely different from the family background Harland described.

"Didn't they say my family lived in the slums? How come you own such an expensive car?" she couldn't help but ask.

"There are quite a few cars like this at home," Ethan replied with a smile.

It seems that her biological family was far from being the poor and destitute people Harland and the others claimed.

Ethan looked at Bailey, feeling a wave of guilt. Before coming, he had been anxious, afraid that he would miss his sister again.

He asked with concern, "Has your been alright?

Did you encounter any danger?"

Bailey had no intention of telling her brother she just be reunited with the thrilling experience she had just gone through.

She gently shook her head and said, "Everything went smoothly, I didn't encounter any danger."

Ethan breathed a sigh of relief. He walked over to the car, and easily reattached the knocked-off door, then turned to Bailey, "Let's go, I’ll take you home." He told her.

Along the way, Bailey absentmindedly gazed out the window, Ethan found her beautiful face a constant joy to look at.

He occasionally stole glances at her through the reviewer mirror, and couldn’t get over how much she resembles his mother when she was this young.

"My family specifically reminded me to be more formal when bringing you home for the first time, so I used this car. It might not be particularly luxurious, but you can make do with it for now," Ethan said to Bailey with a smile, his eyes full of affection.

Bailey watched the Rolls-Royce driving ahead.

If this counted as "making do," then what would be considered extravagant?

"Aren't we going to the slums?" Bailey suddenly spoke, her gaze falling on the driver.

"Slums?" Ethan suddenly asked, "Oh... that's where we plan to invest in charity in the future. Our home is in Hardy Pack."

Hardy Pack was the residence of the Alpha King! It is also the wealthiest and highest-ranking territory among all the wolf clans.

Although Harland had struggled for half his life, his personal wealth did not exceed a few hundred thousand dollars, but in the Moonlight Pack, he was already the richest man. This was also the reason Victoria looked down on everyone.

After the car left, the soldiers who had been secretly watching from the side began to whisper among themselves.

"The girl who was just taken away, isn't she Harland's adopted daughter?" a soldier whispered.

"That's right, I heard she's not their biological child and was kicked out by the family. Her real parents apparently live in the slums," another soldier chimed in.

"Slums? Look at her demeanor; she doesn't seem like someone from the slums at all. Maybe her biological parents are quite influential," another soldier speculated.

"If that's really the case, wouldn't the people from that family regret it to death?" The soldiers said and they couldn't help but laugh.

……

Victoria and Chloe were standing on the road, in a hurry to a certain place.

" Although the school's exchange student quota hasn't been finalized yet, I found out that the person in charge of the review is a senior executive from TY Group," Victoria confidently told Chloe. "It just so happens that your dad struck a deal with TY Group last week, so we can use that connection."

The moment Chloe heard this, her eyes lit up: "TY Group? That's a major corporation backed by the Griffith family! Dad is actually collaborating with them? That's incredible!"

Victoria’s face beamed with pride, but she pretended to be modest and said, " Is it just the Griffith family?

So many people are desperate to collaborate with them but never get the chance. Your father took the initiative to approach them, and the Beta of Alpha King immediately agreed to our request. This shows the status our family holds in this city."

Chloe was overjoyed, thinking that if she could become an exchange student, she would be able to meet more children from wealthy families, and her future path would become much broader.

It seemed that ever since Bailey left, the family's luck had improved!

"Mom, do you think they will help us?" Chloe asked, pretending to be a little worried.

"Don't worry, they approached us for cooperation, so helping with this small favor is definitely no problem. Rest assured that mummy will definitely help you secure the spot as an exchange student. That Bailey girl wants to snatch it from you, but she doesn't even consider her own status!"

Victoria assured her confidently, patting her chest.

Chloe was overjoyed inside, but on the surface, she put on a well-behaved appearance and asked, "So are we going to the TY Group headquarters now?"

"I'm not going to the headquarters," Victoria said. "We are going straight to Hayden Pack."
