Chapter 6-Victoria is going to hit Bailey

Outside, the Alpha family's garden exuded European charm. Roses bloomed freely on the vintage fence beside the villa, and the exquisite lawn spread out like a green carpet, vibrant under the warm sun.

Bailey followed Ethan, listening as he showed her the different parts of the garden.

But Bailey couldn't help recalling the scene back inside the house, and how Ethan had stood up for her.

That strange yet warm feeling of being firmly protected stirred up an unfamiliar emotion in her heart.

After a moment of thinking it through, Bailey softly uttered a grateful "Thank you."

Ethan stopped walking, and a tender smile filled his face. He reached out to gently ruffle her hair and said, "I’m your brother, Bailey. And family gives to family without a need for thank you.”

Bailey looked up at him, her tousled hair sticking out and it gave her an inexplicably adorable and innocent charm, deepening the smile at the corner of Ethan’s eyes.

He was just about to say something when his phone suddenly rang. He checked the ID and gestured for Bailey to wander around but, before stepping aside to answer the call.

Bailey had just started to wander when she looked up and saw two familiar figures slowly approaching the garden gate. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was Victoria and Chloe.

They were being led inside by a butler dressed in a sharp suit, and when they looked up, they immediately spotted Bailey standing in the pavilion.

They were immediately astonished.

"How are you here?!" Victoria blurted out, her face full of disbelief.

Victoria could never have imagined that after kicking Bailey out of the house, she would meet her less than an hour later, in the garden of the Alpha King's residence.

Victoria's face shrouded with disbelief, fell on a middle-aged woman dressed in a nanny's uniform standing beside Bailey, and she instantly connected what she thought were the dots.

This must be Bailey’s Biological mother, she thought to herself.

Nothing but a mere servant, after all.

She couldn’t blame the woman, she had come from the slums, so what good job could she possibly find?In any case, being the servant in the home of such the Alpha King was good enough.

Chloe clearly thought the same thing as her mother. She inwardly felt a mix of disdain and amusement, but outwardly pretended to be sympathetic and concerned.

"Sister, so your family works here after all. But this is the Griffith family as you well know, so you must be careful not to touch anything, or people might once again mistake you for a thief. "

The butler leading them stiffened at words.

He was just about to explain things to them when Bailey coldly responded, “There’s no need to worry about me.”

Bailey's clear eyes swept past Chloe, keenly noticing the pale gray shadow that clung toher back.

She slightly raised her eyebrows and said, "If I were you, I'd go home right now instead of running around and making a fool of yourself."

Victoria had sent Bailey out of her house, and was aware that real mother was nothing more than a mere servant, and yet the girl had the audacity to still be as infuriating as ever. The thought of it had Victoria boiling with anger.

She barely constrained her temper because of the Butler that was present with them. She turned to Chloe, her true feelings restrained, "Chloe, you have a kind heart, but you need to know who to be kind to. This girl is just an ungrateful wretch with zero appreciation for anything. Advising her would be pointless.”

Saying this, she turned to the butler with a look of helplessness written all over her face.

"It's embarrassing to say, but we adopted this young lady when she was a child. We never expected her to turn her back on us the moment she found her biological parents. She has always been so troublesome and fond of petty theft too. We could tolerate her if it were just our home, but who knew what kind of trouble she was capable of causing at someone else's home.”

Victoria looked worried at the end of the statement , but she had made sure to hint with every word that Bailey was capable of causing trouble if she stayed at the Griffith family home.

The butler listened , but couldn’t help but feel surprised at Victoria’s words.

Could it be ? He wondered , that Mrs. Victoria was unaware that Bailey was the treasure that the Alpha family had painstakingly searched for all these years?

He found it so hard to imagine what kind of life Bailey must have lived back with Victoria, after the way we had opened slandered the poor girl.

The butler had initially treated them as honored guests, given the fact that Victoria had raised Bailey. But after what Victoria had just done, his attitude toward her grew cold.

Victoria misunderstood the situation and thought the butler had gone cold because of what she’d said about Bailey , and she felt secretly pleased with herself.

She couldn’t wait to see the "ingrate" get kicked out. She loved to seeif she would still dare to be so arrogant in the future.

Victoria felt that she didn’t need to argue with Bailey to acquire the representative spot. After all, she had a connection with the Griffith family now.

There was only one spot, and if Chloe wanted

Meanwhile, The servant standing nearby stayed silent from the moment Victoria and Chloe arrived.

The Alpha family had strict rules, and Servants were not allowed to casually speak with the master's guests.

However, the more she listened to what they said, the more something felt off. And absurd as it all was, Doubts began to creep into her heart.

The butler felt the urge to speak up and opened his mouth to say"Mrs. Victoria, Miss Chloe, you both..."

No sooner had the words left his mouth did he hear another voice from behind them, "What's wrong?"

It was Ethan, he had just finished his call and came over.

He had seen those other people standing beside Bailey, he unconsciously quickened his pace, the group in just a few steps.

The moment Chloe saw Ethan, her eyes suddenly lit up.

Victoria also carefully examined the young man in front of her, her gaze sweeping over the expensive watch on his wrist and the costly cufflinks, and silently wondered which important member of the Griffith family he belonged to.

The moment the butler saw Ethan, his expression straightened,he was just about to respond, when he realized that Ethan was asking about Bailey, so he closed his mouth and remained silent.

Usually, Bailey would have endured whatever Bailey did to make her life miserable. But now, Victoria had gone too far, spreading rumors in front of everyone, calling her a thief. Bailey decided she’d had enough and wanted to fight back,

"Oh, they were just making things difficult for me and all ."

It was a simple sentence, yet its arrow was very sharp and reached its target perfectly.

Victoria snapped back to her senses and screamed, "What nonsense are you spouting, you bitch?!" She shrieked, and raised her hand to strike Bailey.

Her behaviour was enough to make the Smile on Ethan’s face vanish.

Before he could even react, he watched as Bailey caused Victoria’s hand mid air, surprising not only Ethan, but Victoria as well.

She had never expected Bailey to dare resist, and instinctively, she wanted to pull her hand back.

But Bailey’s grip was Unexpectedly tight and Victoria struggled to break free.

Bailey, who still held onto her hand, looked at Victoria coldly and said, "Don't forget, I'm no longer part of your family, and I won't let you hit or scold me anymore."

After Saying this, she finally let go of her hand, and Victoria stumbled backward, nearly falling from suddenly being released.

"Mom!" Chloe exclaimed, quickly steadying Victoria she turned to Bailey, her face shrouded with disbelief,"Sister, no matter what, Mom is the one who raised you. How could you just lay a hand on her? You... you’ve gone too far!"

Even then , Chloe still made sure to smear Bailey. To her no one was going to believe the character of someone who laid a hand on their foster mother.

Bailey was truly tired of Chloe's hypocritical act. "Which eye of yours saw me make a move? You're the one who's blind, don't assume everyone else is like you." She angrily retorted..

Ethan listened from the side, smiling curiously. At first he’d believed his sister to be easy to bully and had not expected her to fight back so fiercely. He silently admired her.

Not bad, he thought. She was truly his father's daughter.

He listened with great interest, and watched as Victoria grew instantly furious and humiliated because Bailey dared to fight back.

She felt that she had raised Bailey, so hitting her was only natural. Yet Bailey actually dared to resist and even dared to insult Chloe.

She didn’t care that this was the Alpha family’s territory; she shoved Chloe aside and rushed toward Bailey, shouting, “you bitch ! Bastard child! ”

Bailey looked at her with no expression and took a step back. She was just about to do something, anything when Ethan quickly rushed to stand directly in front of her.

The smile in Ethan's eyes was gone and an overwhelming aura radiated from him, cold and majestic.

He stood firm and spoke loudly"This is the Hardy Pack, not a place for causing trouble."
