Bailey bought the cat food from the supermarket, and made her way to the alley where the stray cats usually gathered and played. She crouched down by the edge of the wall and made soft sounds to lure them in as she placed small bowls filled with cat food on the cold concrete.

Soft meows filled the air as they drew close. Some hesitated, while some willingly rubbed against her legs.
