Nora's Pov

“Will you pack everything and dump them in the sink?" The head maid snapped at me, and I rolled my eyes bending and packing the dirty dishes on the dining tables before storming to the kitchen.

This had been my life since Leo dragged me back to the pack. The bastard organized a court meeting because of me just so he could humiliate me and demote me from the luna to a common person.

I dumped the plates into the sink and growled at the maids staring at me. I'm not going to allow them to mock me again. Leo made sure I didn't leave the palace and provided nothing for me.

I was forced to beg him to allow me to work in the palace and here I am, washing plates to survive.

"Don't be sluggish Nora, we need to serve the royals." The head maid yelled as she entered the kitchen.

I looked at the elderly woman and felt like smacking her head, there were tons of neat plates that could be used yet she wanted to use the one I was cleaning. The royal? She kept reminding me that I was now a commoner. "I'm almost done," I muttered between my gritted teeth and smacked the plates on the sink angrily.

She scoffed out a hiss behind me, before walking out with her cane as a third leg. No wonder she limped around with a cane. Very wicked soul.

I finished washing the plates quickly before she came in again and ran out of the kitchen. I checked the time from the mini clock on the wall, at least Leo was nice enough to give me a room. Oh, scratch that. I'm sleeping in the basement.

My stomach rumbled from not eating anything since morning, and it was already noon. My eyes rolled back as dizziness clouded my face, and I sat on the thin mattress. The only thing in the basement.

My breathing became uneven as I shut my eyes and lay down on the bed. Alpha Leo wasn't the one starving me but myself. Eating became useless since three days ago, I'd vomit everything in my stomach rendering me weak.

It had been a week and three days since Leo dragged me back here and punished me every single day. I don't want to think about his punishment. Yesterday, he gave me fifteen lashes for refusing to lick his shoes.

He'd found any little thing to punish me, my body would have been full of scars, if not because of my fast healing gift. Leo didn't know about the gift though, if not he would have treated me badly.

I didn't know what today's punishment would be, and I'm not looking forward to it. A bile rose to my chest and I speed towards the bathroom I shared with three other girls.

I belched as I emptied every single thing in my stomach, I fisted my hands on the sink and inhaled tiredly. What was wrong with me? My eyes dropped to my breast, they were fuller and bigger now.

Leo had commented on them countless times which annoyed me. He even almost stripped me naked one day if not for Lucy that barged in. Now I have to wear bigger clothes before meeting him. I rinsed my face and stepped out of the bathroom, I dragged my feet across the hallway to return to the basement when Lucy cornered me.

I rolled my eyes taking a deep breath. What did she want now? She felt threatened by me even though I had stepped down as the Luna.

"Hey." She called, matching towards me in her high heels. I wished she would fall but she never fell.

"What?" I snapped turning to her.

Her brown eyes bulged out at my loud voice but she hid it quickly by rolling her eyes. "Leo sent for you." She announced and my heart skipped.

A wide smile displayed on her face seeing my petrified expression. "I can't wait to see how he punished you day." She smirked picking her red manicured fingertips.

My stomach churned with fear as I inhaled heavily. I didn't want to know my fate today but still, I followed Lucy. The last time I refused to meet Leo. He dipped my head into cold water for ten minutes, and I almost died that day.

Lucy stopped before his door to announce our arrival, and my heart thudded at his approval. We stepped into the room and the first thing I noticed was how scattered the room was.

The bookshelf thumbed over to the floor, the book scattered all over the floor. Every wine in the wine caller spread all over the floor, and their content stained the white rug. My eyes dropped to the broken vanity table and my eyes bulged out. What the hell happened here?

My eyes moved to Alpha Leo and the mischievous look he had on explained everything to me. He did this purposely. "You sent for me," I demanded stepping away from the broken glass.

"Yeah." He sipped his drink before pouring the content on the floor. "The room should be sparkling clean within thirty minutes." He nudged at the room before dropping his glass on the floor. The shrieking sound vibrated through the room.

"What...what did you mean?" My voice broke as I stared at him in disbelief. He was joking, right? How would he tell me to clean this alone within thirty minutes? "This isn't possible! This will take me at least three days."

Leo's eyes darkened with fury, his hand folded into a fist beside him. I clamped my mouth shut moving away from him.

"What did you just say?"

"It's not__" His hands collapsed with my face before I could finish my sentence. I stumbled backward before falling to the floor with a thud. Lucy busted into laughter behind me and I sniffed back my tears. I couldn't help but be vulnerable around these people.

My heart broke into pieces as Leo gazed at me with a smirk while crouching to my level. He grabbed my jaw tightly and a painful whimper left my mouth. I wriggled against his hold but he gave me another slap.

My eyes rolled to the back in pain, my gaze became dull as everything started spinning around me. Lucy grabbed my hair and yanked me to the floor. My head hit the ground with a thud sending pain to every part of my body, I let out a sharp cry before everything turned dull. My vision became blurry and slowly I lost consciousness.

My vision was cloudy with a whitish subject when I opened them. The process to open my eyes fully became so difficult so I closed them back. Leo and Lucy beat me till I became unconscious, my heart clenched at that and tears slipped out of my eyes.

I hated my life so much, why was this happening to me? He cheated on me and yet he did this to me.

I snapped my eyes open and the smell of the familiar antiseptic hit my nose. The beeping sound beside me also registered in my brain. I was in a hospital.

I tried to sit up but the pain in my head weighed me down, my hands brushed through the bandage wrapped around my head and I hissed out in pain. Fuck, Lucy.

The door pulled open but I couldn't see who entered until the nurse stood beside me, she had a warm smile on while holding an envelope.

"Welcome back to the world." She muttered and I hummed as a question. My throat felt dried and talking became stressful now.

"Oh," She muttered realizing that I was not aware of what she was saying. "You were out for two days."

"What?" I wanted to shout but my voice barely came out as a whisper. I was out for two days. Am I that injured?

She waved her hands nonchalantly and smiled widely "Anyway, congratulations you are expecting a baby. You are pregnant!"

My eyes bulged out. "What!"
