Two weeks after their conversation about taking things slowly, Ana and Marco have fallen into a comfortable routine. He arrives at her apartment every morning at seven to have breakfast with her and Hope before work.

"Hope, eat your eggs," Ana says, wiping banana off her daughter's face.

Hope throws a piece of toast on the floor and claps. "Mess!"

"She is testing gravity again," Marco observes, picking up the toast.

"Or she is avoiding eating breakfast."
