I couldn’t take my eye off Amelie in the car. She always looks gorgeous, but tonight there was something different. A confidence or an air of royalty that encapsulated her. It was breathtaking. Maybe it was because I knew that in a short few hours, the world would know she was mine. I smiled to myself.
