The music started up again, and I looked down the aisle, and the sight left me breathless. Amelie, on her brother’s arm, looked like an angel. My love. My everything. My goddess. I wanted to drop to my knees and worship her. She looked like she was on the verge of tears, but not sad tears, happy ones. Could she want this as much as I do? My eyes welled up with tears, and I gently wiped them. Amelie smiled at me, and a mile-wide grin broke out on my face.
