“I love you, too, Nathan,” Amelie said breathlessly.

“I’ll be right back,” I advised. “I’m going to go grab a condom.”

“No,” Amelie replied.

“No? I questioned.

“I’m on the pill,” Amelie stated. “I have been since I was 14 years old to regulate my period.”

“I can still wear a condom, though,” I said.
