Amelie’s POV

On Sunday morning, I woke up with both Eliza and Biscuit in bed with me. Eliza must have climbed in with me at some point last night. Probably a bad dream or something. I left them both sleeping as I showered and got dressed. I took Biscuit upstairs, then headed down to the kitchen to find Trudy making sausage rolls.

“Good morning, Trudy,” I said with a smile. “Thank you so much for switching your days off, so you can look after Eliza today.”
