It had been four hours since Amelie went missing, and I hadn’t heard anything from the police or Salvatore. I was starting to lose my mind. What if we didn’t find her? Worse yet, what if when we found her, it was too late? Both scenarios made my stomach twist in knots. I can’t lose her. We all couldn’t lose her.
