I was drawn toward the gates in the basement, both in waking reality and in the haunting fragments of my dreams. I found myself there so often that I began to wonder: was the Goddess sending me a sign?

There had to be a reason she kept revealing that place to me. I had been praying to be shown the way to end it all and resolve the crisis in the mortal realm. Was this the Goddess’s answer? Did the solution lie within the gates, or was this another ploy to lead me to my doom? ...
