The day of the meeting finally arrived, quicker than expected, maybe it was because I wasn't anticipating it. Raven and I moved through the darkened halls, our faces obscured by the hood of the long cloaks we had ladened ourselves with from Raven’s parents' closet.

The fabric was not only heavy like a witch doctor's own, but the material was scratchy against my skin in a very uncomfortable way. But it was our only chance to sneak into the meeting undetected.
