“What? Did Alexander find out about Mia?” I nearly shouted, stunned, during a group call with Grace and Nathan as they revealed Alexander’s discovery.

“If it’s any consolation, he thinks your daughter is a boy,” Grace said, trying to lighten the mood.

“And he assumes the child is Ethan’s. He has no clue it could be his,” Nathan added, attempting to reassure me.
