I stared at the receptionist with my mouth half open. “He’s here? Alexander Vaughn is actually standing at the front desk right now?”

She nodded quickly, trying to hide how excited she was. “Yes, ma’am. He asked for you by name. I think you should probably go talk to him.”

I closed my eyes for a second and took a deep breath. “Fine. Tell him I’ll be there in a minute. Thank you.”
