When they felt ready, Dave called his car. It was late at night when they left the apartment. Conrad was driving Dave's car, since that car would be his from now on. The car was totally different from his family's old truck, which they used from time to time. Dave's car was luxurious; the engine didn't roar; it purred; the leather seats were too comfortable; and it was delightful to drive that machine, so much so that Conrad never wanted to leave there again.
