I grabbed my keys and headed straight for the gate. I had to leave the pack to make this call, to make sure no one overheard me. I wasn’t going to let someone else swoop in and take Ashton from me again. No. Not this time.

Once I was far enough, I pulled up the directory and searched for Alpha Damien. I found the listing for the Blackwood Pack and dialed. My heart pounded as the phone rang. This was it.
