The guards had told me Kayla was down there, raising hell. Somehow, she got past them, and I would be having a serious talk with them about that later. How the hell did she even find out they were here? I had specifically made sure none of the warriors Kayla liked to fool around with were on this assignment, precisely to avoid this kind of mess.
