Oliver had updated me on the phone call he received. It was brief, but we all assumed the warning came from Tom, the only one among Trey’s group who hadn’t committed a serious crime. We suspected he was the anonymous informant. When Oliver asked if his name was Tom, there was a long pause before the caller hung up. The silence spoke volumes. He didn’t confirm or deny it. Whoever it was, we’d know soon enough once we caught them in the act.
