When Joan opened the door, I immediately mindlinked Wade, we had a problem.

Everything happened in a blur. They shot one of our warriors and forced their way inside. I knew I had to alert Wade before they shifted their attention to me. We needed to formally join the pack soon, but now wasn’t the time to contact Ashton. They were already en route, and we just had to hold on until they got here. I mentioned that the intruders had weapons before I severed the link.
