Tyr was the first to wake. The early light filtered through the thin tent flaps, catching the edges of his hair. His warmth pressed against my side, and I could feel the rise and fall of his chest. When I stirred, his hand brushed along my arm tenderly, and I opened my eyes to find him smiling down at me.

“Morning.” His voice was gruff from sleep.

I smiled faintly. “You look too happy for someone who barely slept.”
