My words tend to have made the court call for an adjournment which had me smiling inwardly because no one can oppose me.

I've played the pregnancy card and Alaric has taken the bait. He looked puzzled, hands rubbing his forehead.

But then, when I glanced at Anelisa, I could see the doubt in her eyes and I knew what that meant.

She just wouldn't stop until she proved it.
