I waited. I'm still waiting. My eyes kept gazing at the door like I'd expect him to turn up.

Every part of my plot seems to work but then, why isn't he coming through that door?

I thinned my lips, more jinxed than ever. The door slid open and a maid walked in.

I shuddered when I looked at her. Alaric is meant to be here.

"Where's he?" I asked with a frown while panting heavily. I just can't get injured without him showing up!
