Elara's POV
The scent of Blackthorn Academy hit my face like a wave of Air, it smelled like spiced cedar.
I froze at the gates of Blackthorn Academy, and looked up at the extremely huge building my legs began to shake as I walked to the through the gate "where is your pass card" one of them guards asked, I looked at him and he himself looks like a pillar of the gate because of how he was build, I slowly removed the pass card from my bag and handed it to him, he took a minute to thourougly check it before he handed it back to me and opened the school gates.
The iron gates were shut behind me, sending shivers down my spine.
That's it, I am trapped here now.
I looked at the massive stone building that was ahead, it was gothic and ancient, the blackthorn academy has a long history it was were all the rich and elite werewolves family studied.
While here I am a wolf with a forgotten bloodline.
I clutched on tighter to my bag as i walked towards the building, the school was almost covered in the early morning fog.
It looked like it was guarding secrets darker than death itself.
My fingers curled tightly around the strap of my backpack as I near the school entrance.
Inside my bag was everything I owned, and everything I have, other students probably came with large suitcase and bags, there are all extremely rich anyway.
“Elara North ,” I muttered under her breath, practicing how to introduce my self.
“A Transfer student from the Southern Wastes.
No bloodline.
No power.
Nothing to see here.”i continued muttering to my self.
Except I was lying. About everything, that's why I am practicing so I won't fuck up.
My real name is Elara moonveil of the Nightbane Pack.
I am the daughter of an exiled alpha.
I was raised in the shadows after the Draven pack Attacked and detroyed my home and slaughtered almost all our bloodline.
My parents were lucky enough to survive with some of our pack members so there took us somewhere far away, away from all the danger
I was two then but Now, seventeen years later, but now I am here Not to grieve though.
But...
To ruin them all.
My mission was clear: earn the trust of the Draven pack heir, and uncover the secrets of the pack’s strength and strategies, and bring the Dravens to their knees.
And even if that meant making Kael Draven fall in love with me, I would play the part until I watch his so called perfect world crumble around him and his monster of a father.
No matter what the cost.
I am willing to sacrifice it.
I took my first step into the school hallway.
“Move, mutt.”
A voice came from behind me it was cold, smooth, and full of venom and disgust.
I turned just in time to see a broad figure brush past my shoulder roughly, nearly throwing me sideways.
Even though I have never seen him face to face, I know him, since childhood I was shown his picture, he is three years older than me, so I also watched him grow up.
Kael Draven.
The heir of the Draven pack.
He didn’t stop.
He Didn’t even glance at me.
His black leather jacket clung to his tall, muscular frame.
His hands were casually in his pockets as if the world bowed beneath his feet....
Which it actually in a way did.
He is the heir of the most feared alpha.
The next alpha and also the king of Blackthorn Academy.
And the boy I was destined to destroy.
Even though I just transferred to this school I know everything about it, he rules here, and this school isn't just like any normal school.
The students here aren't taught maths or physics....
Their are taught warfare strategies, pack eithics, combat and Everything their need to become powerful leaders.
My wolf started reacting at closeness of him. My skin tingled.
And gods help me
My heart was pounding against my chest.
No. Not now. Not ever.
This can't be a mate bond.
He stopped in his tracks, and Tilted his head to the side before he slowly turned.
And we locked eyes sending sparks throughout my body
“You deaf or just dumb?” he questioned his eyes were studying me like predator that has just found his new prey.
“Fresh meat should know better than to block my path.”he said his voice calm but it had that warning in it.
I swallowed the growl about to escape my throat, I know I have to stay calm if I want to get close to him and complete my mission,“I didn’t realize the walkway was yours, Your Highness.”
He smirked, and it was the cruelest thing I had ever seen.
“You’ve got a mouth there fresher and I’ll enjoy breaking it in.”
My pulse twitched out of anger. A few students nearby chuckled, watching the exchange of words between us, their were all looking at me like I was crazy, I mean who will ever challenge Kael draven. But I didn’t look away.
I couldn’t.
Not because I wanted to challenge him.
But Because behind Kael’s mocking grin, I saw something
I saw a flicker of recognition.
I watched as His nostrils slowy flared. And His eyes darkened.
He smelled me.
He also feels what I am feeling.
I felt The bond flared to life, And a heat beneath my skin and low in my belly, it roared through my bones.
Fated.
He is my fated mate
My blood turned to ice as I think about it.
No. No, no, no.
Why is fate so cruel
This wasn’t the plan.
This wasn’t supposed to happen.
I was supposed to seduce him, and manipulate him. Not be bonded to him.
His eyes widened but went back to normal almost immediately. But Confusion was clearly written on his face
But he quickly masked it with contempt.
“Watch your step, mutt,” he growled softly, his voice barely audible.“Next time, I won’t be so nice.” he added before he turned and He walked away.
And I just stood there,my heart pounding in my chest.
My carefully constructed plan was unraveling like an ash in the wind.
I still can't believe I was Fated to the alpha heir of the pack I came to destroy.
I can't be Fated to him, I was destined to destroy him not complete him, this can't be happening to me.
He is....
My enemy.
And
My mate.........
