Author’s pov.
Alpha Red stood in the meeting room, there was a crowd outside, and that surprised him, he arrived a bit early to collect her.
“Don’t tell me your townspeople are so eager to fall under my protection now, I didn’t know you had it that bad.” He joked.
The Alpha and his beta looked grim, no one laughed at his jokes.
“They are not here for you, they are here for someone else.”
“Who?”
“My eldest killed my younger daughter yesterday and they want to lynch her.”
“Don’t tell me you were stupid enough to tell them your child did it, what kind of a father are you?”
“You will not speak to our alpha that way, he..”
“Enough sun.” Alpha Garret cut him short. “What would you have me do? Lie to them?”
“Is that why you are giving her to me?” Alpha red asked after a while.
“No, we had agreed to give her before the accident happened, I am only telling you this so you know, if she leaves, she can never come back, and she will no longer be a member of this pack.”
Alpaha red snickered. “That doesn’t work for me, that means I can’t use her as a bait, you won’t care, I am going to need more, how about your wife? Or your dead child’s carcass, you seem to care more about the dead than the living.”
“What?”
Alpha red smiled. “My blood is what you need to keep the rogues off, if she mates with one of ours soon, you won’t need my blood anymore. But here.” He dropped a small vial of blood.
“What is that?”
“My blood is in there, put it where the rogues attack the most that should hold them off for a while.”
Alpha Garret glared at him hastily. “That’s not the agreement!”
“Well, that was before your daughter became useless to both you and me alive!” He retorted angrily
“How dare you?!”
“Until she mates with someone in my pack, anyone! That’s all you will get, I advise you to keep that blood well, or find something that is convincing enough.”
“You lying bastard!” Beta Sun swore at him.
“Bastard? You should be thanking me, I am keeping your daughter alive for you! And saving you! Something your Alpha clearly can’t do ”
“You won’t get away with this!”
Alpha red burst into deranged laughter. “Don’t delude yourself, Garrett, I already did, now do not forget, my men will be back for the tributes you owe us!”
The tension in the room rose as Garret and Red glared at each other with murderous intent. “I hope you die.”
“Better pray for my good health Garret, if I die, so do you, because the rogues will destroy any city that has as much as a Drop of my blood on its lands.”
Without saying anything else, he turned to leave, leaving Alpha Garret and the sun in the room.
“What do you think we do now Alpha Garret?”
“Pray and hope that she mates soon.”
“You sure can’t let him get away with this.” Sun tried to reason with him. “The princess she… she…”
“She is no longer a lycan princess, she is not a pack member anymore, she has been exiled, and I have no children anymore.” He declared angrily.
….
Jasmines pov.
As General Huzo led her out, she felt it in her heart, the first sting, and the second broke, slowly, her wine colored hair that was the mark of being a lycan started to turn black.
They had fully exiled her, she was no longer a member of the pack.
“Witch!”
“Murderer!”
The people threw spoiled fruits at her, as Alpha Red’s men led her to the car.
She looked back at General Huzo, who just stood there watching her go, he had a huge smirk on his face, like he had won.
She stopped and looked around at the people who never accepted her for her, ever since Piper was born she became trash here, maybe the exile was for the good.
“One day, my name will be cleared and I will never come back.” Looking up, I saw my mom glaring down at me, and then my dad beside her, he seemed to be comforting her, nobody cared about me, I watched Piper die, the only one who treated me like I mattered.
Taking in a deep breath, I blinked back the tears taking a mental note not to….
“Urgh.” Something hard hit the side of my head and…
I blacked out.
….
Red Harbour pack house.
They had been gone for half the day and he was starting to get impatient.
“Is there more to it? Yesterday you were not worried about that lycan princess and today you seem to be like a bridegroom waiting for his bride, what am I missing?”
Ignoring Jack, I walked to the door once more, looking as far as I could see, still no sight of the car.
“Do you think they killed her already?”
“What?”
Ignoring him, I started rocking back and forth. “No, I will know right?”
“What?”
“But what’s going on? What’s taking Dad so long?
“I give up mate.” Throwing his hands up in the air, he walked into the palace.
Sucking in a Deep breath, I rubbed my palm together trying to steady myself, I could barely sleep last night, I know I looked like a mess, but her tear-stained face kept popping in my head, it was agonising, the urge to make her smile was gnawing at me.
…
…
…
The sound of cars driving into the palace caught my attention and I looked up, but…
My dad’s car was not there.
“What?” My heart started to beat fast, something bad had…
Alpha red came out of the other cars, but there was no sight of Jamsine.
“Dad? Where is she?” Ignoring him, I asked looking around.
“She is at the healer, she ran into an accident, but she will be fine, come let’s go inside.”
An accident, it all blurred out, what went wrong? How was my bride in an accident? What accident.
Instantly, I started to work on my car and…
“Where are you going, boy?!”
Shocked, I look over my shoulders and he…
“Dad I..”
“You bonded with her didn’t you?”
“What, I have never met her in my life.”
“Oh dear son, walk with me.” Alpha red chuckled.
Licking my dry lips, I followed him whole clutching my car keys tight, my sixteen-year-old heart went out to her, I needed to be sure she was good, I didn’t have time for some of his lectures right now.
