She didn’t speak when I stepped into her room.

She just turned toward me barefoot, hair loose, wearing my black shirt like it belonged to her.

And in that moment, I knew I couldn’t pretend anymore.

I wasn’t here to ask.

I wasn’t here to talk.

I was here because every second without her feels like a 4 year old waiting for an ice cream but it is taking forever to be delivered.
