[Ivy's POV]
Aaron tidied up my room.
I clenched my jaw, tightening my lips.
When you don't love me, why are you so concerned about me?
I didn't respond and lay down on the bed. Aaron took a step back.
Suddenly Aaron grabbed my hand.
"Please, I don't want to," I said.
Aaron grabbed my arm with both hands. I couldn't hold back my emotions as I felt his warmth. As he grabbed me, my anger rose higher than before.
"Uncle, what are you thinking?" I gasped out.
"Thinking? What are you talking about?" Aaron asked.
"How about us?" I asked him directly, looking into his eyes.
He didn't say anything, just stared at me.
"I'm sure you've never had feelings for Arona or Roxina. That's why you give them the cold shoulder all the time. Am I right?" I said.
Aaron hesitated as he shifted his sight away from me. "No, that's not true."
I smiled scoffingly.
You couldn't even say it while looking at me.
For a bit, we both remained silent.
"Does that mean you loved her?" I asked.
With a surprised expression on his face, he stared at me.
"Did you love her uncle?" I asked once more. He tried to change the subject by saying, "Open your mouth."
"Then why didn't you stop them when they broke up with you?" I asked again.
"Ivy, it's past. Don't bring up the past. Open your mouth now," he urged.
I put his hand down.
I tightened my jaw; it was enough.
You didn't try to keep them in your life because you didn't love them.
"Kiss me," I abruptly said. I had enough of his hesitance.
Aaron's eyes were wide in surprise.
"Kiss me, Aaron," I murmured again, extending my fingers to touch his face. There was no uncle this time, only Aaron.
It was enough to play the uncle-niece game. When I was not his own niece, then why did he have to hesitate?
I'd like him to kiss me. I was sure you'd never loved them; you've only ever loved me.
You were just dating Roxina for the purpose of your debt. You cared for my dad and grandfather, and that was why you were pushing me away.
I leaned in closer to him.
Aaron ran his fingers through my hair.
But he pushed me a little as our lips were ready to touch.
"No, Ivy. I'm not up to that," Aaron said abruptly.
I moved back a bit.
"Okay!" I murmured.
Aaron fixed his gaze on me.
"Ivy, I—" He was going to begin, but I interrupted him and said, "You don't have to explain it; I am not sad."
"At least I expressed my feelings, not like a coward like you."
"And I get my answer."
"I hope you won't mind if I move on now."
Aaron frowned, "What do you mean?"
"None of your business; please leave; I need to sleep."
The next morning, I came back to my old self again… seductive dress, make-up, and all the stuff I did. From now on, I had made up my mind that I would not run after Aaron anymore.
It was enough of chasing.
"Mom!" I called her as I spotted everyone in the dining hall. I noticed Aaron turned his gaze but was taken aback by the sight of such me.
I was dressed in a short skirt and a crop top.
"Where are you going?" He asked, frowning. I smiled and approached him.
"I have classes, Uncle," I responded.
"What's up with this dress?" He asked, but it seemed he had completely forgotten that my mom was still present.
"Yes!" Mum suddenly said fiercely, "Go change your clothes, Ivy."
"Why are you so angry, Mum? Isn't this something I used to like?" I said.
"And, Uncle," I said as I approached him with a seductive smile, "I'm at ease in this outfit."
Aaron gave me a disapproving look.
"All right, bye; I don't want to be late any longer," I said as she was about to leave.
But he followed me and grabbed my hand.
"Are you serious?" Aaron shouted.
"What?" I asked, a smile on my face.
"Change your outfit," he said. But it was useless.
I said, "It's my life, my decision."
I shrugged my shoulders.
"Wait," Aaron murmured in a calm tone.
"Let me drive you," he murmured, knowing that forcing me would only make things worse. Aaron told me to wait. He walked inside to get the key. But I was not going with you. I got into a different car to go to the university.
I would not do anything that you desired.
I somehow managed to ignore Aaron in the morning, but when I came out after finishing my classes, I spotted Aaron out of the gate.
Joe was beside me.
I quickly held his hand.
Aaron glared furiously at me when he noticed me with Joe.
"What are you doing here, Uncle?" I asked sarcastically when I came near.
"I'm here to take you," Aaron said calmly but firmly.
"Who is he, Ivy?" Joe asked.
"That's none of your business, Mr.," Aaron abruptly said.
"Babe, he's my uncle." I tried to calm down the situation with a smile. Aaron's eyes furrowed as he glared aggressively at me.
`Then we heard Arona scream out Aaron's name, "Aaron!"
"I told you to come to my room. Why are you here?" She stated.
"I'm not here to talk with you. I've come to get Ivy," Aaron abruptly said.
I took a deep breath. But I did not heed his words and took Joe's hand in mine and said, "Let's leave now, Joe. We're running late."
"Where are you going?" Aaron said as he drew me closer to him and tightened his hold.
"Your ex-girlfriend wants to talk to you, Uncle. Why don't you give her a chance to talk first? Allow me to spend time with my friend," I said.
Aaron looked at my eyes and replied in a low tone, "No, I won't let you go."
"Let them go, Aaron. We haven't seen each other in quite some time. Let's go somewhere else," Arona uttered.
I turned around and replied, "Why don't you fix everything, Uncle? Your Arona wants to be with you."
Saying my word to him, I entered Joe's car. I was not interested in talking about loving couples.
Aaron yelled, "Ivy, wait!"
