Chapter 14: Pool Party

Joe was kissing my neck, but I could not feel anything.

My thoughts were filled with Aaron's and that bitch's words.

Joe abruptly stopped kissing and turned to face me.

"Ivy, are you all right? You're not in your mind," he said.

"I'm OK," I said as I tried to stand up.

"I don't think so," Joe stated once again.

"I'm not in the mood, Joe. Let's do it tomorrow at my house," I responded with a smile.

He asked, "Are you sure?"

"Dad and Mom are leaving for Spain tonight. So, I'm planning a pool party for tomorrow," I stated.

"Okay, as you want," Joe said with a smile and a kiss on my neck. Then he drove me back to my house.

"Bye," I murmured to Joe, then turned back, but I saw Aaron standing there.

He was furiously staring at me.

I moved my gaze away from him and was ready to enter the mansion.

But he immediately grabbed my hand and pressed me against the wall.

I closed my eyes and whimpered in pain, "Aaah, what are you doing?"

"Is it time for you to come home?" He said aggressively.

"Ah, first leave me alone. You're hurting me," I said.

"Tell me first," he yelled.

"Why? Why are you asking for an explanation from me?"

"Does it make a difference to you? I will come anytime I want," I answered, staring into his eyes.

"I'm your uncle. I can ask," Aaron stammered.

I stared at him for a minute and asked, "Like this? Is it legal for an uncle to ask his niece in this way?" I asked.

He didn't respond and gently let go of his grips, gazing down.

I tightened my hold.

"I'm throwing a pool party tomorrow," I added, turning my gaze to the opposite side.

"What? Certainly not!" Aaron answered, his tone surprising and shocking.

"I've already sent out invitations to my friends. You are welcome to bring your ex-girlfriend, Uncle," I said.

"Ivy, Arona was my ex, not my present," he said, his gaze hardening.

"Then should I call her your friend or your future girlfriend?" I sarcastically asked.

"Ivy, do you understand what you're saying?" Aaron asked.

I smiled.

"I apologize, uncle, but I was joking. Simply invite her out for a good time. I hope you don't mind."

As I already stated, I began moving up.

Aaron began following me and said, "Listen!"

I turned back and replied, "Uncle, you're not that old. You can join us."

Jack abruptly emerged from his room.

He asked, dropping his earphones, "What did you say?"

"I'm holding a party tomorrow," I said.

"Oh, really?" Jack responded, his eyes widening.

"Can I then invite some of my friends?" Jack asked.

"Only couples are allowed," I smiled.

"Are you serious? Do you know that our college has won the basketball tournament for the second time? So everyone was urging me to have a party."

"And you know how much I hate it all," he added.

"Oh, I see," I said, "so you want to take this chance?"

Jack smiled broadly at me.

"Okay, invite your friends as well," I sighed.

Then I looked at Aaron, his gaze locked on me. I did not say anything to him and walked inside my room.

The next day, all of my friends came to my mansion. The party already started.

I was staring out the window, and Ame was in my room.

"Ivy, I'm not sure why you're doing this." Ame asked.

"Doing what?" I said as I stood in front of the mirror.

"Didn't you see me in this outfit?" I said, turning my gaze to her.

I was dressed in a black bikini.

"I'm not talking about your outfit. I'm talking about Joe and your Aaron," Ame said.

I sat on the bed without saying anything.

"But where is he?" she asked.

"I'm not sure," I said.

"Maybe sleeping."

"This Aaron truly upsets you," Ame sighed, standing near the window as she said it.

"Yes, he is driving me insane."

"Hey, did you invite that kiddo?" Ame spoke up abruptly.

"No," I said, "they're Jack's friends."

"Oh, really?" Ame remarked, "But Jack's friend seems so uncomfortable here."

I smiled and approached to check in. I noticed a girl dressed in jeans and a shirt.

She wore large spectacles.

"What exactly? So, who is this interesting girl?" I said with a smile as I slid the curtain aside.

Ame chuckled, "Your brother has a really unique taste."

"Shut up," I responded, smiling. I gave her a long look until I recognized her.

"It's Selena," I said.

"Is she your brother's girlfriend?" Ame asked.

I rolled my eyes and replied, "Bruh, does that jerk know how to do romance?"

"Yes, it is true. I should have called Games his girlfriend," Ame sighed.

"But I think people are staring at her strangely," I said.

"Of course," I answered, "can't you see how they're gazing at her?"

"Hmmm, I guess we should do something. Let's add some color to her and my brother's lives," I added, winking at Ame.

After a while, Ame took Selena with her; I was waiting for them.

I gave her a smile.

"Hello, sis," Selena responded, with a smile.

"Hi, But why are you in this dress, Selena? Did not Jack tell you it's a pool party?" I crossed my arms, locking my gaze on her.

Selena's face became red; before she could say something, Ame spoke.

"Yes, let's put a bikini on her," Ame remarked.

"What?" Selena was shocked.

"No, how about one piece?" I replied.

"No..." Selena gasped, covering her face with her hands.

"What, no?" Ame said, her eyes narrowing.

"No, no, I'm shy," she said as she was ready to walk out of the room. I instantly grabbed her up.

"Wait," I responded, laughing, "we were just checking your shape."

"Sis, I want to go home," Selena said, her eyes welling up with tears.

"Come on, Selena. Take a seat here. You don't have to be concerned, honey. We won't put you in a bikini top," I remarked as I started my search for a low-cut dress.

"We'd like you to explore your appearance and clothing a little more. I promise you'll look fantastic," I said.

"And Jack won't take his gaze away from you," Ame murmured.

"Sis, he's only a friend," she said.

"Yes, I am aware. That jerk is truly an unromantic one," Ame remarked.

Their conversation was making me chuckle. I picked a red dress and shouted, "Yep, got it."

I took it out of the closet and showed it to them.

"Wow," Ame said. Selena, on the other hand, made a horrible expression.

"Do you have a problem?" I said, my brow furrowed.

"It's too short," she remarked with a nod. I let out a sigh and untied her hair.

"I'm not interested in hearing anything."

"You must wear this," I urged.

"But—," Selena was about to say, but we interrupted her.

"Go change it right now; we're waiting here," I told her.

She was, nevertheless, rigidly seated on the bed.

"Do you need my help, girl?" Ame said, a big smile on her face.

"No, no, I can do it," Selena said as she took the dress and walked away to change it.
