Kael POV

The storm hadn’t eased since we returned to the den.

Outside, the wind howled through the jagged cliffs like a living beast, carrying the scent of rain and scorched earth. Lightning split the sky above the cave’s mouth, throwing shards of silver light against the stone walls. My wolves moved like shadows, restless and uneasy, low growls rumbling in their throats. The goddess’s presence still lingered here, clinging to the air like smoke from an unholy fire.
