Chapter 3 A Dangerous Night

The music pounded through the nightclub, mingling with the murmur of laughter and conversation. The lights flickered in neon hues, creating a vibrant atmosphere where luxury and debauchery intertwined. Standing out among the crowd was Sebastián, a handsome thirty-year-old man with an elegant demeanor and an innate confidence that made many women sigh. His impeccable black suit highlighted his figure, which he worked out at the gym, a place where he spent much of his time.He enjoyed the unattached bachelor life, convinced it wasn't time to get married yet. Between drinks and jokes with his friends, he relaxed as usual. His world revolved around pleasure and freedom, and tonight was no exception. One of his friends, with a mischievous smile and a glass in his hand, approached him."Sebastian, do me a favor. Take this drink to the redhead at the bar. Tell her I sent it."Without thinking twice, Sebastián grabbed the glass and made his way through the crowd. But what he didn't know was that the whiskey contained an aphrodisiac, a plan devised by his friend to ensure an unforgettable night with the woman. Between the noise and his slight intoxication, Sebastián got distracted and, without realizing it, ended up swapping glasses. He brought the wrong drink to his lips and downed it in one gulp, feeling the burn of the liquor go down his throat.Just then, his phone rang. With an annoyed sigh, he pulled it out of his pocket and saw his mother's name on the screen. Unwilling to answer, he ended up sliding his finger and putting the phone to his ear."What's wrong, Mother?" he asked in a tired tone."That's enough, Sebastián. Go back home," Beatriz de Vegas ordered in her firm, uncompromising voice.Sebastián ran a hand over his face, trying to dispel the strange feeling that was beginning to spread through his body."It's okay, Mother. I'm coming."Without saying goodbye to his friends, he left the club and headed for his car. As he got behind the wheel, he felt an unusual warmth running through him, an unfamiliar anxiety beginning to take hold of him.Meanwhile, at the Las Vegas mansion, Mariana was helping the nanny in the kitchen, folding freshly laundered sheets. The young woman was adjusting to her new life in the house, struggling to learn her assigned tasks. Suddenly, Beatriz appeared in the kitchen doorway and looked at the girl with an unreadable expression."Put clean sheets in my son's room," she ordered coldly."Yes, ma'am," the nanny replied before turning to Mariana. "Come, I'll show you where young Sebastián's room is."Mariana followed her silently through the mansion's wide hallways. Upon reaching the room, she was struck by its size and elegance. The enormous bed, the dark wood furniture, and the heavy curtains made everything feel imposing."Make his bed properly and you'll be able to rest. You know which room is yours, and make sure you lock it," the nanny instructed her seriously."Yes, nanny. Thank you," Mariana replied, feeling somewhat nervous. The nanny left her alone in Sebastian's room, and Mariana began to straighten the sheets and arrange the pillows. However, a sound in the doorway made her flinch. The door burst open, and Sebastian staggered in, his breathing labored, his pupils dilated. The drug was beginning to take its toll on his system, clouding his judgment completely.Seeing Mariana, his eyes grew intense. Mariana felt a chill run down her spine."What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice trembling, taking a step back.He moved closer, his movements erratic but filled with urgency."I won't hurt you if you don't resist... help me," he murmured hoarsely.Mariana tried to dodge him, but Sebastian was too strong. She tried to scream, but he covered her mouth and held her firmly. In her altered state, his strength seemed multiplied. He threw her onto the bed and tore her dress without hesitation, possessing her mercilessly.Mariana struggled, but fear and helplessness paralyzed her. Tears streamed down her face as her body gave way to the pain. With a final effort, she managed to let out a heart-rending scream.Beatriz, still awake in her office, heard the scream and ran down the hall, followed by the nanny. When she opened the door to her son's room, the scene she found froze her: Sebastián, naked and panting, lying on top of Mariana, who was sobbing with a blank stare. Blood stained the sheets."Get out of my house!" Beatriz roared furiously, pulling her son away from the young woman with all her might.Mariana, trembling and broken, barely managed to get to her feet before running out of the room. The nanny saw her pass and immediately understood what had happened. Her eyes filled with tears as she saw the injustice before her eyes.Meanwhile, Sebastián, still under the effects of the aphrodisiac, collapsed on his bed, not fully understanding what he had done.
