Chapter 56 It Is a Daily Occurrence that Someone will Trouble, Especially Today

Although Ronghua’s words were extremely frivolous, they made sense. For example, the person capable of controlling the thousand-hand lamp couldn’t understand it was hard-earned if he didn’t endure hardship.

“Rongnuan!” she turned around and said in anger, “Why do you come out?”

He didn’t mind even though he was scolded, “I heard that something was going on underneath. I just worry about you.”

It appeared that he cared about her very much. She said, “But I remember I’ve told you not to come out!”

He stepped back with fear. Perhaps he hadn’t seen Ronghua’s angry expression for a long time, so he trembled, “I just...”

“All right!” Ronghua interrupted him rudely, “If you dared do something without permission next time, I would do what I should do!”

She forgave him finally, so he smiled, “Okay! No next time.”

Ronghua was so helpless. Did he have the ability to achieve her purpose? She doubted it but couldn’t abandon him, for she had promised him.

“Did you have a good rest?” Ronghua asked. He was a little stunned and then replied, “Yes.”

“Okay. Let’s go!” The deal between the Evil King of Ghosts and her had begun. If he could find her quickly, it would be hard for her to do something in the future.

But he didn’t understand. “Go? Now? Where are we going?” he asked in confusion. They had endured untold hardships and sufferings to find an excellent place to rest. Why did she leave in such a hurry?

Ronghua looked at him. It appeared that he didn’t want to leave. She said, with one hand holding the handrail of the stairs, “So you want to stay here and wait for death?” She had deformed the bar while she was talking. Rongnuan was frightened and came down, trembling, “No. No. No. I’ll leave with you right now.”

Sure enough, he needed a spanking. Perhaps he thought Ronghua was so kind that he wanted to act shamelessly. Now he would know what angry Ronghua looked.

Rongnuan walked down, with fear, and dared not look at her. Ronghua took a deep breath and pulled him, and then they left. After they stepped out of the inn, those ghost servers came to their senses, “Well. You haven’t paid the money!” But their voice became lower and lower as they were afraid of displeasing her.

After they came out, there was thick fog. It was a trick of the inn, for attracting living people. People could only see the inn in the mist. The mist could lift in the daytime, but Ronghua couldn’t wait. She kept her eyes on Rongnuan, making him shiver. He shrank his neck, asking, “What’s wrong?”

Ronghua replied, “My spiritual fire is too strong. If it were used here, everything here would be burnet. What level is your spiritual fire? Could it burn the fog?”

It was indeed that Ronghua’s fire was so intense that it could lead to a disaster. Rongnuan puckered his lips, “I’m afraid that my spiritual fire will...”

“Afraid what?” Ronghua interrupted him before he could finish talking, “It’s better than never!”

Rongnuan frowned, “All right!”

Rongnuan incanted and made a small flame. Then he opened his eyes. Looking at the fire, Ronghua seemed to freeze and didn’t have any expression, for the light made her doubt whether he cultivated or not after she went down.

Ronghua got annoyed and raised her hand. Rongnuan directly closed his eyes and got ready to bear her anger. Looking at him, Ronghua put down her hand, “Why do you make such a small flame?” She thought she’d better teach him!

Rongnuan found that Ronghua didn’t get mad, but he heard her words, so he opened his eyes difficultly and said, “I don’t know!”

“Hum?” Ronghua felt that a thousand arrows inserted her, so she took a breath and looked at him, “I’ll take you? Should I?”

Rongnuan saw her gnashed expression and heard her angry words, full of fear. He directly jumped into her arms, “Don’t leave me!” He was terrified, trembling.

Ronghua didn’t react when he jumped into her arms. She almost fell, but she stabilized. Looking at him, she did her utmost to endure.

“I won’t leave you.” Now he looked like a sensitive animal and couldn’t hear such words. Ronghua said, “Stretch out your hand. Let’s get out here, okay?” She soothed him, who had a fragile heart!

Hearing her words, he released her. Ronghua looked at his faint flame, sighing, but she still reached out her hand. The two kinds of spiritual fire should have repelled each other. However, Ronghua’s spiritual fire was exceptional, so they integrated immediately. Ronghua directly threw it out.

The fog lifted as soon as the spiritual fire appeared. With a road emerging, Ronghua pulled Rongnuan, “There is a road. Let’s go!”

Rongnuan looked at Ronghua’s hand seriously, which was tender, lovely, and watery. However, no one could know how many people’s hands she had held.

“Ronghua!” he called her, but she didn’t turn back, “What’s wrong?”

He hesitated, “Have you held others’ hands except me?”

Ronghua replied, without thinking, “Of course!”

Rongnuan didn’t expect that, “A lot? Who are they?”

Ronghua smiled, “A hell of a lot! They are the people I have known!”

Rongnuan lowered his head, disappointed. It was just in vain for him to ask, so he said, “Hum! Is that the case?”

“But,” Ronghua continued, “You’re the first one with the courage to hug me.”

Rongnuan raised his head and realized that he had done something remarkable. Was he the first one hugging her?

The trouble came again as soon as they walked out of the fog. It proved that even if you didn’t look for trouble, it would find you.

The Taoists thrown out by the ghost servers walked in front of them. They were injured, full of resentment, but they couldn’t defeat the Evil King of Ghosts and could only fight with the general ghosts, so they were waiting for the ghosts to come out but met Ronghua and Rongnuan.

Ronghua and Rongnuan felt embarrassed when meeting them and didn’t know what these people were going to do.

“Are you the ghosts from the inn of the Evil King of Ghosts?” one person asked, pointing at them.

Not many people watched them initially, but now Ronghua and Rongnuan had become a target for attack. Then, a group of people watched over. That person’s words succeeded in attracting their attention.

“Where do you come from?” One woman was brainwashed and directly determined that they were the ghosts in the inn.

“We...”

“Come on!” She was about to attack Ronghua and Rongnuan before Ronghua could react.

Rongnuan was dumbfounded. Ronghua stood in front of him calmly, resisting her attack just with two fingers.

That woman didn’t expect Ronghua could resist her fierce force. Ronghua held the tip of the sword and shook it. Then the light of the woman’s sword made herself rebound. She fell on the ground, spitting blood.

“How dare you injure my junior sister?” The man beside her saw she was injured and also rushed over with his sword. Fortunately, someone stopped him, “Don’t be impulsive! Let’s see what happens first.”

All the people were frightened by Ronghua. She mustn’t be an ordinary human, for she could resist the sword only with her hand.

“You suffered losses in the inn, so you want to get it back from me?”

Ronghua said elegantly, like a king.

They were all stunned, “Aren’t you a subordinate of the King of Ghosts?”

Ronghua closed her eyes and held back her anger, “If I were the subordinate of the King of Ghosts, why could I have a shadow under the sun?”

They started to notice the shadows beneath their feet.

“What is the sun?” one person asked in a low voice.

“It’s sunlight!”

Well, the ghosts didn’t have shadows under the sunlight. Even though the Evil King of Ghosts could walk under the sun, he didn’t have the shadow.

“It’s just a mistake. Don’t be angry, miss. My junior sister just acted on impulse.”

That man made a bow with hands folded in front immediately. It appeared that he was tactful.

Ronghua and Rongnuan were about to leave. But there were still some people who sought death.

“Wait! Don’t let them go!”

Ronghua paused and looked over at her coldly. The sound was familiar. After seeing the person, Ronghua realized that it was the woman who stabbed the Evil King of Ghosts but was hit by him just now. By rights, she should have died. How could she stand here? Did they have some medicine capable of bringing the dying back to life?

Ronghua looked at her carefully. No, it wasn’t her. Although they were like each other, they weren’t the same person.

“Do you want to stop me?” Ronghua asked calmly and didn’t believe that the woman didn’t see how she beat them just now.

“You are the subordinate of the King of Ghosts! How can you prove that you’re not his subordinate, despite your shadow?”

That woman spoke without thinking, which made Ronghua see people who stirred up enmity today.

“Oh! According to your words, you might also be his subordinate?”

The woman was irritated by Ronghua and blushed, “Nonsense! You are...”

“What do you want to say? You just see that I come out without damage. Pay attention to what you are saying.”

Ronghua hated it most that useless people did something unnecessary, while this woman was such a person.

“Why didn’t he injure you when you sit in the inn, and why did he help you?”

Her words reminded some people. Ronghua sat at the corner just now and didn’t attack them, and they didn’t attack her too. But when someone wanted to hurt her, the Evil King of Ghosts protected her. They had realized it until that woman spoke.

“What is the relationship between you and the Evil King of Ghosts?”

This sentence succeeded in attracting the attraction of all the people, who held the long swords. Ronghua had cursed the Evil King of Ghosts ten thousand times. No wonder he helped her. It turned out that he made her caught in such a trap.

“I suggest that you keep away from me!”

Ronghua didn’t have spiritual power and also had a problem child to take care of. The current situation was terrible for her!

“The Evil King of Ghosts, you can image how I will deal with you when you beg me!” Ronghua thought.

“Catch them! Bring them back to interrogate!”

This sentence successfully explained that it was non-negotiable.

“Back!” Ronghua said in a low voice and shielded Rongnuan, stepping back.

They came over, making Ronghua hard. How would she deal with so many people?

Suddenly, a sword was about to stab her from her back. Ronghua sensed it immediately and swirled Rongnuan. She hit the man, making him rebounded out. Others thought that they shouldn’t be kind because of Ronghua’s massive force, so they all rushed over.

Ronghua stooped and dodged, holding Rongnuan. She kicked out the sword, which was about to stab Rongnuan.

Ronghua swept over them, repelling some people. Then she quickly passed through the crowd at an incredible pace. Finally, they only saw a shadow pass and found that their abdomens had already bled after they saw Ronghua again.
