Chapter 68 I Said I Had No Temper, Would You Believe That?

Ronghua never closed her eyes at night because of her fear, and all the people familiar with her knew this matter.

The stars were shining all over the sky this night. It was the best time to cultivate, and she would not let this chance to go!

Jun Lang stayed next to her quietly. A fire was burning ahead of them, which might be the only comfort for this cold night.

Prince Ba Luo fell asleep soon when they all became quiet. Then Ronghua summoned the fire of nothingness.

She gazed at the fire. It should be a little pride to her, but it was the most worrying thing for her mother before her death. Her mother always said it was ominous, but it turned out that this fire always protected her. It was always beside her when she needed it and was a warmer comfort for her in this chilly night.

This fire rooted in the depths of her soul, and no one could bring it away. That geezer, the so-called Fire God, dared to act arbitrarily in front of her after learning some special skills. So stupid. How dare a grain of rice compare itself with the effulgence of the sun and the moon!

The fire had no harm to herself but was like the evil demon from the depths of hell to others. How could he dream of taking control of it with an ordinary human body!

Ronghua did not give any command to the fire after she called it out. Nevertheless, it still burned to guard her spontaneously when she began to cultivate.

Ronghua finally started her cultivation. The spiritual power was rarefied on the Realm of Humans, and only a few sorts of spiritual power were suitable for her to absorb, so she had to spend more than twice the time that ordinaries spent to cultivate to keep pace with them.

Taking more time and efforts to cultivate but gaining less, Ronghua had been frustrated. However, sometime later, she found there were other payoffs for her harder work.

The fire of nothingness revolved around Ronghua, and she closed her eyes to concentrate on cultivation, so she did not detect that the Yin qi around them was growing denser.

At a place below the cliff, the Yin qi suddenly strengthened, and somehow it kept welling up. That Fire God had settled the specialized mysterious array to prevent those evil things to climb up, but it seemed that the array was a bit loose and even had the potential to be destroyed.

Jun Lang sensed the change observantly, while he found Ronghua was still cultivating and had no reaction to this. However, something was floating in the air.

Before he could figure out, a bad hunch appeared in his mind. Responding to his presentiment, a large amount of Yin qi surged from where the Fire God and Zhou Dong had fallen. Jun Lang was horrified, not knowing what was coming. Whatever it was, it could not be a good thing, so it would be better to leave now.

However, Ronghua was still cultivating. It was a taboo to disturb the person in cultivation because it might lead to all the previous efforts being wasted. What’s worse, the cultivator might lose his life.

After trading off, he determined to leave this place with Ronghua after she finished her cultivation.

“Hua Sheng!” He tried to wake her up, but Ronghua did not answer.

He signed for relief as the situation was easy for making a decision. He planned to settle the formation around them as soon as possible. He hoped this would protect her until she was awake.

Besides, he stood outside the formation, for it was better to let him deal with the attack.

Yin qi was constantly gathering here. There should be a huge thing under their feet!

His lips rose unconsciously and made an imperceptible smile, which could make others feel freezing. Was he influenced after staying too long at that place?

Ronghua was trying hard to congregate the spiritual power when she was cultivating. Although the Yin qi was so strong here, the spiritual power was more than typical places as well. If she could maintain at this speed of cultivating for one night, the spiritual power she accumulated would be enough to insist for a long time.

When she was at the critical moment of cultivation, she seemed to see a flash of white light, which brought her a bad feeling.

As she expected, in the next moment, the woman called Lingran came again! Again!

This time, Ronghua had no courtesy to her, standing with arms crossed, “If I said I’m not bad-tempered, would you believe it?”

Lingran still had the same look, calm as still water and silent. Without asking, Ronghua knew what she wanted to say through her eyes.

“Relax. Lingxi is fine. Would I be here if anything happened to her?”

“I’m not here to ask about Lingxi, but you!”

Ronghua felt ridiculous, “Me? When do you have time to concern about me?” Lingran had been hell-bent on finding Ronghua in her dreams, talking to her on and on for her daughter. She had the stubborn attitudes that she would not let Ronghua leave her dream unless Ronghua agreed with her requirements. Now, it seemed that she was to act like that again.

“I heard that you’re looking for your memory!”

Ronghua was shocked by this new topic. “Did you read my memory?” she questioned Lingran with irritation. Ronghua suddenly began to rethink whether she had been so nice that everyone dared to challenge her bottom line.

“Do you think you are special to me as you could appear in my dream and thus have the right to know everything about me?”

Lingran foresaw that Ronghua would be annoyed by her words after she knew the current condition of Ronghua, but she still said, “I just want to give you a piece of advice. You can take it as an honorarium for protecting Lingxi!”

Ronghua waved her hand, “No. I don’t need it!”

She had a strong repulsion towards Lingran right now. Somehow, Ronghua hated Lingran’s appearance and her stance that she got anything under her control.

“No, you need it!” Lingran became serious at an instance, “I’m quite sure that you need this honorarium!”

Ronghua was almost entertained to laugh by her words, “Lingran, did I ever offend you?”

“I knew you!” Lingran said gravely.

Her severe expression eventually pushed Ronghua to ponder in earnest, “Did she knew me in the past?”

“Did you?”

Ronghua was certain that she had not seen Lingran before and had never dealt with her. Also, Lingran was dead before she went to the Realm of Demons. She would not even go to the Realm of Demons if it was not for Lingran.

“You don’t remember that, but I do!” Lingran responded solemnly.

Ronghua smiled, “Stop talking in a roundabout way. Say it explicitly! I still have my business!”

“You shouldn’t unlock the memories in the world-changing bow anymore!”

Ronghua put on a smirk, “Why?”

Lingran’s lips pressed, and something in her eyes seemed to leak out, “You would regret if you knew that part of the memories!”

“How could you make sure that I would repent?”

Lingran kept quiet for a long time, and Ronghua thought she was organizing the words to stop her, but she only wept, “Because... I have been regretting!”

Her words were like a dagger stabbing into Ronghua’s heart, and it hurt badly. Ronghua pressed her chest with hands, while it still hurt, and tears came down unconsciously. How could she feel so heartbreaking as if she had experienced that as well?

This must be the feeling that Lingran conveyed to her deliberately! Ronghua raised her hand and was about to argue with Lingran, but only found that she had left again!

“Lingran!” Ronghua was ignited with the hatred towards Lingran and determined to find the method to cut their connection.

When she opened her eyes, there was another surprise for her. Prince Ba Luo, who had been behind her back, disappeared. Ahead of her was the dazzling light of the flame and a lot of skeletons that were climbing up industriously. There was a giant skeleton right in front of her, with the fire burning on his head and mouth gaping open, trying to ascend. However, he was beaten down by a man when he nearly succeeded. This process was repeated again and again, which made him exasperated. He commanded the small skeletons to go up continuously but was hit by a flash of lightning, and then more flashes of lightning followed.

After all of these happened, Ronghua managed to see the man clearly. Was not that Jun Lang? Was not the flash flying on the sky Prince Ba Luo?

What were they doing? Who was that big skeleton?

Ronghua stood up and cried, “Jun Lang!”

Jun Lang called back his mind from fighting when he heard his name and looked back, “Hua Sheng, you are awake.”

At that second, one hand of the giant skeleton stroke to him as he was distracted.

Ronghua yelled, “Jun Lang, be careful!”

Jun Lang had no time to react. The big hand was too close to dodge, so he prepared to resist. Ronghua rushed to him, and the hand stopped immediately when it nearly hit Jun Lang. It turned out that Ronghua froze the hand at an instance.

Ronghua’s worry for him turned into anger, “Couldn’t you move away when he attacked? Were you waiting to be stricken?”

Although Ronghua had an angry face, Jun Lang did not take it seriously, “I had no time to move. It’s fine. I got ready to defend. What’s more, didn’t I have you to help me?”

Ronghua was choked, “How could you be so confident that I would save you?”

They just knew each other for hours, and she had not admitted that she was the person he was familiar with yet.

“Hua Sheng...”

“Look out!” Before her voice ended, Ronghua pulled Jun Lang aside forcefully, and there was a big hole knocked by the big skeleton at which he had stood.

“Stupid woman, come to save me!” the lone wolf cried.

Ronghua suddenly realized that Prince Ba Luo was still fighting above them. Since Jun Lang stopped assaulting, all the attention of the opposite side was drawn to Prince Ba Luo, and all of them turned to attack him.

Ronghua leaped up and evaded an attack from the giant skeleton dexterously. When she came close to him, she sensed the unbearable temperature at once. What was...?

Prince Ba Luo was clutched tightly in the giant skeleton’s hand, without any space to struggle. When he was about to be put into the skeleton’s mouth, he was scared to tremble, and the lightning was summoned by him unknowingly. The lightning directly dashed to Ronghua’s face. Ronghua leaned to one side to let it pass and was angry about that, “Be careful! Who are you hitting?”

Prince Ba Luo was aggrieved and cried, “I didn’t mean it. I was so afraid!”

Ronghua was miffed. She formed an icicle in her hand, and it grew until it was big enough to break the hand that grabbed Prince Ba Luo. When the hand fell, Prince Ba Luo eventually got the chance to get rid of it. He flew to Ronghua and wanted to complain again but received a hard knock from her, “Why did you rush to the front as you knew you could not beat them? Did you use your brain to think?”

Prince Ba Luo felt more aggrieved and wept loudly, “I did not. He required me to fight and threatened me that he would stew me as food for you if I refused.”

Ronghua was wordless for a moment.

She turned to look at Jun Lang, who was dashing to the giant skeleton with a guilty conscience and swinging his tulwar. Ronghua decided to call him to account for this later.

“Ba Luo, use your strong thunder to attract him.”

Prince Ba Luo had a sick face, which was hidden behind his fur, “Ah, it’s me again!”

Ronghua’s face changed, and she said with emphasis, “What...you don’t want to go?”

Prince Ba Luo swallowed when he saw her face, “I’ll go!”

Prince Ba Luo yielded to his fate and flew to the sky, summoning thunder and lightning to draw the giant skeleton’s attention. Ronghua was beamish and smirked in her mind, “Little tyke, dared to call me ‘stupid woman.’ Look how I punish you!”

Jun Lang held his tulwar, and his figures flashed around the giant skeleton. Ronghua observed their battle and realized that she could not tell which of these figures was the real body of him. Who the hell was he? He was really superior. Did she know him or not?

Prince Ba Luo cooperated with him and successfully stopped the movements of the giant skeleton. Ronghua found it was the right time. The icicle in her hand turned its direction, with flame covering it, and stabbed to the skeleton fiercely.
