Chapter 69 This Is a Threat, So What?

The giant skeleton fell after being attacked. Though he stopped moving afterward, Ronghua felt that there was something unusual about his appearance here. “Why a giant skeleton is here?” wondered Ronghua.

Jun Lang and Ba Luo landed together.

Ba Luo walked toward Ronghua with visible grievances on his face. Ronghua wisely chose to ignore him.

“Dear Hua Sheng!” said Jun Lang while he walked to Ronghua, “What should we do now?” Jun Lang’s eyes were fixed on the giant skeleton because he believed the skeleton is only knocked down temporarily. “He will crawl up eventually, but why not now?” wondered Jun Lang.

Ronghua saw that earlier. No matter how hard Jun Lang and Ba Luo had attacked the giant skeleton, he could not be destroyed and kept on crawling back. There seemed to be something holding him down there, which prevented him from crawling back.

“Let’s wait here! That thing is a menace, after all. Let’s smash him here, and we will be assured that he will not hurt anyone else,” said Ronghua.

Ba Luo was confused and asked, “Shouldn’t we leave right now?” “We’d better leave before he crawls back,” thought Ba Luo.

Ronghua rolled her eyes at Ba Luo and said coldly, “Should I throw you down there too?”

Ba Luo shrunk his neck as if he was wronged. “I am sorry,” said Ba Luo.

Jun Lang looked at Ronghua’s face and laughed suddenly. Ronghua frowned and asked in confusion, “What are you laughing at?”

Jun Lang said, “I am happy that you are still the same.”

Ronghua asked, “Like what?”

Jun Lang smiled in silence without any reply. Ronghua felt that was strange. “I do suspect that he might know me before,” thought Ronghua.

“Then what should we do now?” asked Ba Luo, knowing that leaving was not an option. “We have to deal with that giant skeleton before we leave. But he is really scary!” thought Ba Luo.

“Where did that skeleton come from? His resentment is strong,” asked Ronghua.

“That giant skeleton was the Fire God,” replied Jun Lang while rubbing his eyebrows in distress. “The blame is on me. I did not put an end to his life. It was surprising that he managed to absorb the Yin qi down there and became a giant skeleton. It was all my fault that he came to hurt you,” said Jun Lang.

Ronghua waved her hands and said, “That’s not your fault. You could not stop these things from crawling up if they really wanted to.”

“The Yin qi down there is so strong. How many people that giant skeleton had killed to make himself like this? In terms of strength, I might not be able to beat him now. But...he certainly has lost his sanity after absorbing the Yin qi,” thought Ronghua.

Jun Lang took out his tulwar and said, “Dear, just give me the words, and I will finish him now!”

Ronghua rubbed his hair and tried to comfort him. “It’s ok. Even if he crawls back now, we will be able to kill him. But it will be a bit troublesome to clean up the Yin qi down there. The giant skeleton’s power could stem from the fact that he had not reconciled with his fate,” said Ronghua.

Jun Lang held his tulwar and drew a circle around the others. He then took out his wine pot and poured out some of the wine into the circle. Ronghua then walked behind Jun Lang.

Seeing that Ronghua was walking in circles, Ba Luo soon followed suit, wagging his tail, and tried to play with Jun Lang. He tried to catch some of the wine Jun Land had poured out and tasted a bit of it. Ba Luo found that the wine tasted good. He then jumped and tried to take Jun Lang’s wine pot. Jun Lang ignored Ba Luo and trod on his head.

Ronghua nearly fell with the shock emitted by Ba Luo when he was trod onto the ground.

Jun Lang walked to Ronghua and said, “Dear, I need your fire.”

Ronghua looked at Jun Lang with uncanny significance. Yet, she summoned a tongue of the fire of nothingness and threw it onto the circle. The circle was then set ablaze. Jun Lang smiled and thought, “I knew it.”

Ronghua turned her head and looked at Jun Lang with obvious confusion. “What is he doing?” wondered Ronghua.

Yet, Jun Lang’s smile became increasingly apparent, arousing Ronghua’s suspicion.

“Dear Ronghua, I know you are good at using the fire element. You once said your fire could burn everything in this world into ashes,” said Jun Lang.

Ronghua realized what Jun Lang would talk about and looked at Jun Lang with ease. “So? What do you want to do? Wanna ask for a light?” asked Ronghua.

Jun Lang took back his tulwar and said lightheartedly, “That’s not what I mean. Please don’t take any offense. I just want you to know that I am not the only one who wants to have your fire.”

Though Ba Luo was blunt, he understood what the fire was referring to. “What do you want? You approached us with a purpose?” roared Ba Luo. Ba Luo’s roaring did not stun Jun Lang. The giant skeleton came crawling back after Ba Luo’s roaring.

The giant skeleton was growling while he was crawling his way back, leaving deep cracks on the ground with his fingers. But Ronghua was not looking at the giant skeleton. The only thing that bothered her was that whether everyone approached her with the same purpose.

“I will talk to you later!” said Ronghua.

Upon finishing her remark, Ronghua jumped out of the fire with a sword-like icicle in her hand, right to the giant skeleton. Ba Luo was glaring at Jun Lang, but he then stopped and jumped out the fire to help Ronghua with the giant skeleton.

“But how strange is that? Though this place is filled with Yin qi, it is uncommon for the Yin qi to form something like this, regardless of how much Yin qi there is. Maybe something happened?” wondered Ronghua.

“Ba Luo, thunder!” shouted Ronghua.

“Copied that!” replied Ba Luo. He then tried his best to summon thunder on his side. Ronghua was attracting the skeleton’s attention down there, directing his sight onto the ground. With the sword-like icicle in her hand, Ronghua placed an icicle trap around the giant skeleton.

Icicles then surrounded the giant skeleton. The skeleton was roaring at Ronghua angrily with his large fierce-looking mouth. He then slapped the icicles with his hands, but the icicles remained intact after taking that strong hit.

“Ba Luo, now!” shouted Ronghua.

Ba Luo showed signs of confusion on his face upon receiving the order. “Why should I use that?” wondered Ba Luo. But he dared not disobey Ronghua, and nobody knew what Ronghua was thinking about anyway. All the thunder nearby was at Ba Luo’s command. The thunder congregated. Then, some of the thunder struck the giant skeleton’s head directly, and the rest fused into the icicles nearby. The thunder acted like a hand, holding the skeleton’s head. The hand then pierced into the skeleton’s head with its fingers and channeled thunder in and out of it. The outbound thunder hit all the icicles near the skeleton.

Then the thunder connected nearby icicles and formed a cage that could hold the giant skeleton. The cage gradually tightened as the skeleton tried to escape.

Though the giant skeleton was roaring angrily, Ronghua ignored him.

Jun Lang walked to Ronghua. Against Ronghua’s calm face, Jun Lang asked, “You don’t want to hurt it, dear?”

Ronghua suddenly smiled coldly and asked, “What do you think?”

Jun Lang was stunned because it was rare for him to see Ronghua smile like that. “Dear...” said Jun Lang.

“Shut up!” Ronghua interrupted before Jun Lang could finish, which was unprecedented.

Ba Luo then landed near Ronghua and looked at Ronghua with confusion. “She could shatter the skeleton with ease. Why not? It is not difficult and could be done with a little of the thunder,” thought Ba Luo.

“Listen, I know you can hear me. Now you’d better answer my questions. Don’t try to push my limits. I don’t lack anything, except for patience. And if you would like to irritate me, I will not let you down,” said Ronghua.

The giant skeleton was roaring. He seemed to be summoning his skeleton minions. But he was trapped already and was running out of time. The skeleton minions were not stupid. After witnessing that the giant skeleton was trapped, all of them fled down and watched him from a distance.

Ronghua continued to say, “Oh, it seems that you don’t want to talk. But I don’t mind dealing with you violently.”

Ronghua held up her hand and clenched her fist; the icicles in front of the skeleton were being held up by something. The icicles then shattered as Ronghua tighten her fist. Then, the giant skeleton suddenly shivered cowardly.

The skeleton was aware of how hard the icicles in front of him was. But he did not give in as he believed this was only a threat from Ronghua.

Ronghua thought that was funny and asked, “You think that was faked? You think I dare not kill you?”

Ronghua raised her hand again, with her eyeballs turning red from ice-blue. Jun Lang walked to Ronghua and held her hand, placing it back down. “I will make him talk,” said Jun Lang.

Ronghua was brought back to her senses by Jun Lang’s move. Her eyeballs also returned to ice-blue. She twinkled and opened her mouth. Then, she sighed heavily and said, “Sure.”

She then walked back to Ba Luo’s side, feeling dazed. Upon seeing Ronghua was not feeling well, Ba Luo did not disturb her. Because that was not the first time he had seen Ronghua behaved like that. The last time Ronghua acted like this was when Rongnuan was hurt.

There was tenderness in Jun Lang’s eyes. He noticed that Ronghua did not want to talk and knew exactly what he should and should not do. He then turned to the giant skeleton with a cold look.

“So... will you talk? Or you need some help?” asked Jun Lang.

The giant skeleton smiled at Jun Lang with contempt, obviously in disbelief that he could pose a threat to him. Though Jun Lang was offended, he was not enraged. He was just smiling coldly at the giant skeleton.

Jun Lang drew out his tulwar and pointed to the giant skeleton. “My threat doesn’t seem to work,” said Jun Lang.

Suddenly, the giant skeleton started to shiver. For unknown reasons, he felt that this man was far more dangerous than that woman. “What do you want to do?” asked the giant skeleton, trying to calm his fear.

Yet, the giant skeleton was trying to escape with his hands quietly. He would certainly take Jun Lang down the cliff with him if Jun Lang came to attack.

To the skeleton’s surprise, Jun Lang gently put down his tulwar upon seeing his threat failed. “Ay, that was a pity. My threat did not work!” sighed Jun Lang grudgingly.

Jun Lang then turned around grudgingly and said, “Maybe we should leave!”

Ba Luo was confused and asked, “What? We will just leave like this?”

“There was nothing we could do,” said Jun Lang with frustration.

Confused, Ba Luo then looked at Ronghua and Jun Lang. “You guys say that we will kill the giant skeleton before we leave,” said Ba Luo.

Jun Lang shrugged and said, “But we discovered that he could not be killed.”

Ba Luo felt that he was running out of his intelligence and wondered, “What?”

Facing the others with her back, Ronghua was beaming lightly. Because of her standing posture, the giant skeleton could not see Ronghua’s facial expression.

The giant skeleton was feeling complacent that these two humans could not kill him, and he would be able to make his way up with a few hundred years of cultivation once they are gone. “I will be unstoppable by then!” thought the giant skeleton.

Terrifying quietness then filled the space. The giant skeleton submerged himself with bright outlooks and did not notice the changes of Ronghua and Jun Lang.

Ronghua then lifted her right hand. The giant skeleton was stunned and wondered, “What now?” Ronghua then snapped her fingers in the next second. The fire surrounding Ronghua and Jun Lang then started to expand rapidly. Within seconds, the mountain was surrounded by the fire. Seeing the mountain cliff was besieged by raging flames, the giant skeleton felt that something ominous would happen.

His worries then became true.

Jun Lang then immediately turned back, with an evil smile on his face. “All your power comes from this mountain cliff!” said Jun Lang.

The giant skeleton’s heart hitched for a second and wondered, “Why does he know that?”

Ronghua then turned around, with a tongue of flame on her hand. “This cliff is filled with Yin qi, but its influence was limited within here. I guess the Yin qi is trapped here!” said Ronghua.
