Chapter 91 How Come I Have Such a Stupid Daughter like You?

Ronghua, Rongnuan, and Jun Lang left the netherworld together. When Ronghua turned around again, she felt that it was a pity.

Jun Lang walked over, “Ronghua, where are we going now?”

Ronghua didn’t say a word, nor did she want to see him.

Jun Lang slowly approached her, but Ronghua held Rongnuan and left. Jun Lang’s hand stopped in the air. He was both awkward and frustrated, not knowing whether to stretch his hand out or to put it down.

He thought in mind, “Hua Sheng, oh no, Ronghua, when have you become so cold to me!”

Fortunately, Rongnuan felt uncomfortable just because he couldn’t stand the hell’s environment.

Ronghua placed him on a rock and continuously offered him spiritual power with her palms. After a while, as seeing that his pale face finally turned to be a bit ruddy, she let out a sigh of relief, “Rongnuan, are you alright?”

Rongnuan dabbed his chest and panted several times before he smoothly exhaled. He nodded and said, “I’m much better. I couldn’t breathe in the hell just now, and I almost thought I would be going to die young.”

“Heh, you know it? I thought you didn’t know!”

“I know. What’s more, I even felt more and more exhausted after breathing there. If it weren’t the help of you, I’m afraid that I would have already passed over the bridge to Hell and gone to the circle early.”

Even Ronghua could not help but do a spit take, “You’re... I have no idea what to say to you.”

Rongnuan seemed to be feeling wronged, lowering his head and pinching the corner of his clothes. He wondered, “Is she looking down upon me again?” Ronghua also noticed what he meant by his expression. What was going on?

“Look at me!” Ronghua cupped his face in both hands and said, “No living person would dare to take even half a step inside the hell. It was me that got you involved as you followed me. Next time, I won’t let you be in danger.”

Opening his bright eyes, Rongnuan said happily, “Hum! Next time, we won’t go either, okay?”

Ronghua grinned. Well, this boy was too easy to fool. It would be strange if there weren’t any danger as long as he continued following her.

“Okay, we won’t. We won’t go there anymore.”

They laughed together.

Their laughter didn’t appeal to Jun Lang, who kept standing there with his hands being as still as before. Jun Lang didn’t feel tired at all. He thought that he was like an outsider standing next to them right now. What was he doing here?

Sometimes, he felt that he was redundant. Ronghua was different from Sister Hua Sheng in his memory, who always had a calm expression on her face.

Ronghua’s expression was calm as well now. Her tone became very different from the one while she was in hell. Even when she lost temper, she wasn’t aggressive at all but showed a hint of doting on her face. For a moment, Jun Lang thought that she was Hua Sheng in his memory and that they were overlapping perfectly.

However, an extreme fear arose in Jun Lang’s heart all of a sudden. He had never felt the tenderness ever since he was born. Since his childhood, others taught him that he could never survive without fighting, robbing, and killing. Hence, he only knew the killing when facing others.

But Hua Sheng told him that in this world, he could live on not only with killing others but also in some other way.

He lived on with this belief. It was the only gentleness in his heart in those long and lonely years.

However, at this moment, he seemed to feel that terror had spread all over his body.

He knew that even if she knew that he was stained with blood and had done a lot of wrong things, she would still accept when knowing that all those were his efforts to see her. He had made many excuses for her. He had thought she was missing or had no time or could not get away with something. He had never expected that she would forget him.

At that moment, he wanted to do what Rongnuan did, following his instinct of fear to hide in her arms. He would ask her directly why she had forgotten about him and why she hadn’t looked for him. He had been waiting for her for so long, but she never came.

However, he wasn’t Rongnuan, nor would Ronghua pamper him like this. Would she push him away or even kill him when he pounced on her? Who knew?

The members of his clan were violent and bloodthirsty by nature. When they met mighty people, they would instinctively rush forward to kill them and eat to raise their cultivation. It was a world where the strong preyed on the weak!

However, she said, “You are not a monster!”

Yes, he was not a monster, so why should he live like a monster?

Her words were almost engraved in his bones so hard that he could no longer forget.

Gently and considerately, Ronghua was gazing at Rongnuan, patiently waiting for him to recover and then set out to look for others.

She stood up and gently stroked his hair with her fingers. She inserted her fingers into his hair and caressed it carefully, but his hair was so messy that she couldn’t comb it properly for a while.

“Rongnuan, have you ever thought about who I am?”

Hearing her sudden question, Rongnuan was stunned. After thinking for a moment, he slightly tilted his head and said, “I won’t ask you what you don’t tell me.”

It made her a little surprised, but it was also within her expectation. She said, “Really? Haven’t you ever thought about who I am? Or do you want to ask me?”

“No, I don’t!” Rongnuan answered crisply, “The more I know, the more you will...”

He stopped. Ronghua asked in bewilderment, “What will I do?”

He seemed to be reluctant to continue, “You will... you will get farther and farther away from me.”

Ronghua got stunned for a moment with mixed feelings in her heart. Logically, she couldn’t tell him so many things, but a voice in her heart always asked her to say to him because he had the right to know.

Ronghua replied, “No, I won’t!”

Rongnuan looked up at her, and she said firmly, “Never!”

You Yue, who had been swept away by the fierce wind, finally landed with another woman.

The woman was sitting on the ground. She was frail but showed an expression of the unwillingness to give up. She was breathing heavily, with her eyes widely staring at them, as if she was about to eat people.

She indeed wanted to eat someone!

She was Guiyun, who got seriously injured by Ronghua and almost died in the netherworld. She thought what happened just now was unbelievable. Ronghua had been beaten so severely earlier and even had no strength to retaliate, and finally, she was rescued by someone. How could Ronghua win her this time!

“What a farce!”

A gust of strong wind blew over and hit her hard in her face. The sound was so loud that You Yue was scared to step back.

It seemed that Guiyun couldn’t believe that he would have slapped her. She covered her face and said with great hurt, “Father, you hit me! You actually hit me? Because of her, you hit me?”

As soon as she finished speaking, the strong wind that swept You Yue over stopped on the ground and turned to be an aged man in his eighties.

It was Milord Gui!

You Yue was so scared that she covered her mouth tightly, afraid of disturbing them by making a sound.

“I hit you to remind you— fool!”

Guiyun’s eyes were full of disbelief, “Father, I don’t understand!”

She didn’t understand why she was stupid to do so.

He held his hands behind his back, with his eyes full of malicious and insidious look, but Guiyun didn’t be afraid but gaze straight at him.

“Don’t you understand? Tell me, what have you done?”

Guiyun said in a daze, “Father....”

“How come I have such a stupid daughter like you?”

It turned out that this woman was his daughter, but the age gap was too big!

Guiyun knew that her father was already angry because he had never spoken to her in such a tone.

“I don’t know. Father, please tell me!”

“Humph!” Milord Gui whipped his sleeves in anger, “I’ve already told you. Don’t provoke Ronghua. She’s not as simple as you think. Do you think you can beat her again after injuring her once? She’s a princess of the god race, and few princesses of gods are easy to deal with. Don’t you understand it after dealing with Qingyi?”

Guiyun argued, “How could Ronghua be the same as Qingyi? Qingyi has a bow in her hands, and that bow has...”

“What does it have?” Milord Gui interrupted her, “Regardless of their difference, she is the eldest daughter of the God Empress. Do you know what kind of education and cultivation training she has received since her childhood?”

Guiyun bit her lip and seemed to be unwilling to give in.

“Ronghua, the princess of gods, is very sinister and mysterious. No one knows the fire in her hand— the fire of nothingness— comes from where or whom. She’s someone that we cannot afford to offend as long as she holds it.”

“Father, she no longer has the ripple map in her hands.”

She tried to remind Milord Gui, but he got even angrier, “Do you think that fan is truly so powerful?”

Guiyun felt puzzled, “Father, what are you afraid of? In the past, you couldn’t take account of me in public because of your other identity. Now, you’re back, but I’m not as good as even a hair of Guixia in your eyes. No matter what I do, you’re not satisfied. I want to kill Ronghua to remove the stumbling block on your road. However, you’re still not satisfied. Won’t you feel satisfied until I die? Is that what you want?”

While saying this, Guiyun already became tearful. She gazed at Milord Gui with tears in her eyes, but Milord Gui kept standing there with his hands clasped behind his back and didn’t look back at her.

“Father, I don’t know what you’re afraid of. Ronghua is no longer the omnipotent princess of the god race. She’s been in the Realm of Demons for a hundred thousand years, and how can she threaten us? The ripple map, her only spiritual weapon that can control the wind and rain, has been taken away by the King of Death. What you’re afraid of?”

She said with a sob, but Milord Gui had no response at all. He didn’t even seem to be moved.

“What do you know? Who is Ronghua? She’s the god race’s princess, said to be the only successor in the history of gods with the right to fight against heaven. Do you think that all of her actions have no motives? For example, this time, you used the pawn that I’ve laid out for a hundred thousand years. You destroyed all my effort.”

Guiyun raised her head and looked at the furious expression on Milord Gui’s face. She knew that it was useless to explain now.

You Yue stepped back sensibly, afraid that she would get involved.

But coincidently, a twig snapped under the pressure of her hand.

Suddenly, Guiyun and Milord Gui turned to look at her. You Yue realized that she got into trouble at first glance.

She couldn’t help but feel embarrassed and said, “Go on. I didn’t mean to bother you. Go on.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she stood up and ran. However, her cultivation was nothing in front of Milord Gui. Before Guiyun could see how he did it, You Yue had already run into an invisible wall.

“Ouch!” She sat on the ground. It was so painful.

However, it was nothing compared with the two people behind her. You Yue got up and continued to run, but she found an invisible wall in front of her.

She suddenly felt scared. It was not a wall but a boundary!

The boundary had been set up in the distance while they didn’t make a move yet. What was going on? Who were the two so powerful people? Why did they take her away, not Ronghua? Ronghua was much more powerful than her.

Milord Gui strolled towards You Yue, which frightened her to use all of her spiritual power to try to break through the barrier, but unfortunately, it was all in vain.

Standing behind her, Milord Gui said to Guiyun with a forced smile, “Use your success to make up for your fault!”

Guiyun followed his order and came over. The injuries on her body mostly recovered now.
