Chapter 102 Seeing Weilian Again

Yang Quan was furious, for he had to put down his erotic impulse just when he was about to feel it. “I am so angry! Though being alive is important, I am not leaving without my baby!” thought Yang Quan.

Yang Quan then lifted Xia Puyang into his arms and said, “Let’s go, baby!”

Indeed, even death could not put down Yang Quan’s carnal desire and love.

But just when Yang Quan reached the door, he noticed that all of his apprentices were killed in the yard, except for the one who came into his room to make a report.

Yang Quan’s anger then erupted. “What the hell! Who did this!?” shouted Yang Quan.

“Me!” said a voice.

Yang Quan’s sight followed the sound and looked over. But he only saw a woman, who was standing on a statue with a bow in her hand.

“Who do you think you are? Killing my people? How dare you!” shouted Yang Quan while pointing at her with his finger.

That woman snorted coldly and said, “Let go of the man in your arms, and I will let you leave.”

Yang Quan suspected that she must be an affiliate of the imperial clan of Zither as she had come to rob Xia Puyang away from him.

“Are you from the imperial clan of Zither? Why have I never seen you before?” asked Yang Quan.

Noticing that woman’s beauty, Yang Quan suspected that must be the first time he had seen her; otherwise, he would be able to remember her face.

“That’s not your business. The only thing you need to know is that you could live by dropping that man. Reject this offer, you will die here today!” said that woman.

“Impudent!” said Yang Quan. Yang Quan then dropped Xia Puyang and tried to attack that woman. That woman smiled and disappeared. Yang Quan’s fist then hit the statue that the woman was standing on.

Yang Quan looked around, searching for her. “Where is she?” wondered Yang Quan.

“Ahem!” a sound reached Yang Quan from behind. He quickly turned and noticed that woman was standing right next to Xia Puyang. His messenger was instantly killed by a cut in his throat. His blood spilled all over the floor.

“You... who are you?” asked Yang Quan. “Now it’s my turn to be sacred. She could kill my apprentice quietly under my nose! She must not be simple!” thought Yang Quan.

That woman took back her bow and looked at Yang Quan. “Are you leaving or not? If not, you will be the next one,” said that woman.

Yang Quan stumbled on his feet and nearly fell off that tower. “Everything is wrong! I came here with great momentum to get Xia Puyang! But now my people are dead; I could be killed; Xia Puyang is taken away from me! What a loss!” thought Yang Quan.

Yang Quan said grudgingly, “You... just wait for me to come back! I will skin you alive and fry your skinless body! Then, I will eat it with my wine!”

Yang Quan reluctantly left after he had finished cursing that woman. Qingyi sighed in relief. “I will be in trouble if I can’t persuade him to leave!” thought Qingyi.

“Mengta, has he gone?” asked Qingyi.

“I will be in trouble if he’s still around. I simply cannot deal with powerful cultivators like Yang Quan with my cultivation,” thought Qingyi.

“Mom, he is gone!” said Mengta.

Mengta then quickly ran back. “That man was savage, ugly, and out of shape! What’s more, he does not have the gut and ran away!” thought Mengta.

“That’s good. But I thought he was smarter than that,” said Qingyi. Though Yang Quan was heavy-headed, he was powerful indeed. “Aunt Ronghua’s Ice Lotus of the Heart’s Blood is coming here. We must leave here at once!” said Qingyi.

“Sure. But what about this person?” asked Mengta. “He is a burden!” thought Mengta.

Qingyi sighed. “We have no choice but to bring him with us. My sister will be upset if he’s dead,” said Qingyi.

“But who is this man really?” wondered Qingyi.

Qingyi only knew that Yang Quan wanted to take this man with him, but this man’s identity was unknown to her.

“Who is that?” asked Qingyi.

Qingyi suddenly felt an aura of killing was quickly approaching them from behind. “I can feel that aura from afar. That means the sender does not care about letting others become vigilant. I guess s/he is very confident,” thought Qingyi.

Mengta could feel that too. Mengta walked to Qingyi and held her hand. “Mom, who is coming?” asked Mengta.

Qingyi looked around vigilantly. “I don’t know. But that person came with ill intention. We must leave here at once and find someone to help. I am not familiar with this place and know nothing of the people around. I am not sure about anything. But my sister would be able to help us!” said Qingyi.

Mengta nodded willingly and said, “Sure! Let’s go!”

Qingyi held Xia Puyang up. She then transformed her bow into a sword. “Mengta, can you see where’s my sister?” asked Qingyi.

“Once the Ice Lotus of the Heart’s Blood is initiated, nothing can be done until it’s finished. Sister, what are you doing? Is the imperial clan of Zither really worthy of all these efforts?” wondered Qingyi.

“I can’t,” replied Mengta.

“What?” said Qingyi. She thought she had heard that wrong. But Mengta shook his head again, and said, “Mom, Aunt Ronghua’s location is a bit special. I cannot see where she is!”

“That’s troublesome,” thought Qingyi.

“Then let’s go and find Xia Pumo and see what he is up to!” said Qingyi.

Just when Qingyi was about to leave, Mengta pulled and stopped her from moving. Qingyi turned around and noticed Mengta was visibly confused and staring blankly ahead. “Mengta, what’s wrong?” asked Qingyi.

Qingyi looked to the direction that Mengta was staring at. She was then confused too. “What is that?” wondered Qingyi.

Piles and piles of slime were wriggling on top of each other. “It looks like poop. But it... also looks like something wicked,” thought Qingyi.

“Why is that here? Evil things like that should not show up here!” said Qingyi.

Mengta felt the evilness that was within that thing. “Mon, what is that? I can feel a sense of pressure,” said Mengta.

Both Mengta and Qingyi felt a sense of pressure. “I knew the power that’s running in my vain well enough. Very few people could stand in front of us with ease and exert pressure upon us,” thought Qingyi.

“Mengta, let’s go!” said Qingyi.

“You can’t go!” said that monster.

“How could that thing stop us from leaving by just words? How could that be? Things like that are usually useless against me!” thought Qingyi.

“Inner demon! It must be an inner demon!” thought Qingyi.

“Mengta, don’t be scared. This monster came from your deepest fear. Stop thinking about it, and you will be fine,” said Qingyi.

Saying that was easy. But fears that dwelled in people’s minds could not be eradicated so easily.

Mengta closed his eyes and said, “Sure. I will not be afraid of anything as long as mom is holding my hand.”

Though Qingyi was calm, she was shocked by the presence of that person over there.

“Is that Shigong? Why is he here? He should be in Mount Yaoshen now. Is he here for me?” wondered Qingyi.

Qingyi opened her mouth but failed to utter a word. “That person looks like Shigong, but I could be wrong. There is something about him that I cannot quite describe. If I have to describe it... it is an aura of killing,” thought Qingyi.

Qingyi could not remember when was the last time she had sensed an aura of killing from Shigong.

“Shigong, are you there?” asked Qingyi. She was confused about that person’s identity. That person suddenly put on a big, extremely twisted smile. Looking into that person’s widely malicious eyes, Qingyi was sacred and stumbled back!

Mengta was confused, and asked, “Mom, what happened?”

Staring blankly ahead with visible worries and scares on her face, Qingyi did not reply to Mengta. “What’s wrong with her? There is nothing but that disgusting monster!” thought Mengta.

“Shigong, are you coming for me?” asked Qingyi.

Qingyi then repeated her question. Shigong continued to smile and walked to her. “Princess Qingyi, it’s been a long time,” said Shigong.

Stunned, Qingyi nearly fell. But she soon managed to stand steadily after a few attempts.

“Shigong, what are you saying?” asked Qingyi.

Shigong laughed a little and put on an ironic look. “I thought Princess Qingyi would understand that,” said Shigong.

“Shigong, what happened? It’s only been a few days! Are you ok?” asked Qingyi.

Rounds and rounds of hostility started to materialize around Shigong. “I guess Princess Qingyi is too dignified to understand me, even now!” said Shigong.

“You! What are you saying? I... what’s happening to me?” asked Qingyi.

“Qingyi, you are perfectly aware of that. Why can’t you see it? That’s right. It’s just like what you are thinking about. There is nothing you need to hide,” said Shigong.

“Shigong, you are lying to me!” said Qingyi.

“It does not matter!” said Shigong.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” shouted Qingyi.

Qingyi then started to attack Shigong with everything she had got. But Shigong was powerful too. He reflected Qingyi’s power bolt to her. Qingyi then saw her power bolt was shooting back to her helplessly.

Ronghua turned around. She thought she had heard something. Murong Zhe noticed Ronghua’s changes and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Looking to that direction, Ronghua did not reply to Murong Zhe. “Did I just hear Qingyi’s voice? Could that be a mistake?” wondered Ronghua.

“No, nothing. I’ve heard that wrong,” said Ronghua.

“Mistake?” said Murong Zhe shockingly. “Even Ronghua would sometimes make mistakes,” thought Murong Zhe.

“Let’s continue,” said Ronghua.

Once the Ice Lotus of the Heart’s Blood was initiated, it could not be stopped until it’s completed, and it had to be constantly supported by spiritual power. Ronghua felt something was coming from behind. She then bent her body and kicked that thing away. Murong Zhe was shocked and said, “Oh! What’s wrong! Why is everybody trying to stop us?”

Ronghua regained her balance and stood still. She then recognized that person. “The King of Death?” asked Ronghua.

Yes, the person standing in front of her was Weilian, the King of Death. He stopped showing up after he took Ronghua’s fan away. “Oh, Ronghua. It has been a long time!” said Weilian.

“Things are getting hard! I have a mysterious array to complete, and here comes another problem! What a day!” thought Ronghua.

“Your Highness, we’ve made a pact. You can’t stop me from doing anything,” said Ronghua.

The King of Death looked at Ronghua with a vague look. Ronghua was worried and confused. “I will not prevail if he would like to fight. That’s for sure,” thought Ronghua.

Murong Zhe saw Weilian too. “Ronghua, do we stand a chance of winning in the coming fight?” asked Murong Zhe quietly.

Ronghua’s back was sweating, and her heart was pounding fast. “We don’t stand a chance!” said Ronghua.

“Wh-, what? We don’t even stand a chance?” said Murong Zhe. He was shocked. “What? We can’t even fight him?” asked Murong Zhe.

Ronghua clenched her fist harder. “You are stupid. Don’t you know who he is? I could fight him only with my fan. But now I don’t even stand a chance of escape!” said Ronghua.

“No one has ever escaped from Weilian’s space-merging cage,” thought Ronghua.

“Ronghua!” said Weilian.

Ronghua’s thoughts were interrupted by Weilian’s sudden call. “What are you doing?” asked Weilian.

Ronghua, “I am doing what I am supposed to do!”

A period of suffocating silence ensued. “Do you need help?” asked Weilian.

“Em, what?” asked Ronghua.

“Did I hear that wrong? Help? Did he say he wanted to help me?” wondered Ronghua.

“Help? You want to help me?” asked Ronghua.

“That’s something unheard-of. Weilian, the King of Death, wants to help me?” wondered Ronghua.

“Em... this... I don’t suppose... I think... I suppose I will need that!” said Ronghua incoherently.

Ronghua was stepping back while she was producing that incoherent speech. She was completely stressed out, so she did not notice the cliff behind her. But Weilian noticed that. Ronghua fell off the cliff. She could not even control her body from falling. But someone held her up, and before she could do anything, she was held into that person’s tough, cold arms. But Ronghua had no time to care about anything, for that person’s presence had already stopped her from moving.

Weilian hugged Ronghua tight into his arms. That was not an ordinary hug. It was like Weilian just caught Ronghua by accident and would never let her go. He held Ronghua tight as if he would lose her at any second.

“Your Highness, could you let me go?” asked Ronghua.

Upon hearing that, Weilian let Ronghua go. He acted like he was losing something precious.

“Why are you back here?” asked Ronghua.

“He took my fan away. So he should reasonably stay in the Realm of Demons and examine my fan. I won’t be surprised if he has found out all of its secrets,” thought Ronghua.

“I was just passing by and saw you by accident,” said Weilian.

“Passing by? That is a lame excuse!” thought Ronghua.

Even Murong Zhe noticed that excuse was lame. “No one would believe that! It’s too obvious!” thought Murong Zhe.

“Oh, so that’s why you are here,” said Ronghua.

Murong Zhe, “....”

“Do you need my help?” asked Weilian.

“Hum?” said Ronghua.

Ronghua did not catch that. “Is he saying that to me?” wondered Ronghua.

“Oh, that’s unnecessary. It’s just some trifles,” said Ronghua.
