Chapter 2

To be honest, I'm scared. Well, of course, I was excited at first. I was a huge fan of reincarnation myths and novels, and to think that it happened to me made my whole skin tingle.

But now, the excitement is lost in my heart. I am scared for my future here. I had a bad experience here from the beginning, and now I find out that I am the only living woman here. Is it true?

I don't know where I am. I can't see what's outside because I can't even touch the curtain.

Don't you have a mother?" I asked again.

Is he kidding me?

"I do," he answered quickly.

The carriage finally stopped, and the door finally opened. "Let's go."

I didn't want to end up pulling his neck using the chains, so I immediately followed him.

So he has a mother. Then what he told me earlier was a lie? Just like what I thought. It's impossible that I am the only living woman here. I don't know where I am, but a world can't survive without any woman.

I looked around us while we started to walk. There are bushes of flowers everywhere. The garden is big enough that I can see the other bushes from afar.

I looked up at the sky. It is dark, and the only light that I can see from above is the perfect round moon and the stars surrounding it. The sky is clear, and it's awfully quiet.

"We're here."

My attention goes to the person walking in front of me.

This is where I saw a big house—a mansion. It was so big that I had to look up.

I shouldn't be amazed or act surprised. The person in front of me is the one who bought me six hundred million shells.

The question is, Why? Why would he waste that kind of money? What is he going to do with me?

Can I even run away from here? I want to leave. I want to leave so bad. If I acted like a child at first to get excited about this reincarnation thing, now I looked like a dog who lost its tail.

Even if I don't have a family waiting for me, at least in my original world I wouldn't be treated like some kind of object.

"Leon!" The worried voice suddenly echoed in my ears.

In front of a big door, two people are looking in our direction. I can't help but look at the back of the man in front of me who is still wearing his mask.

Leon? That name sounds familiar. Then again, it's a common name.

"Leon, what do you think is the time now? Where did you go?" The man at the right suddenly stopped talking when his eyes stopped in my direction.

"Good evening, mom." This man named 'Leon' leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheeks.

I was surprised to see what happened, but I chose to hide my emotions. Much more than the person Leon called mother looks scary, especially his eyes. His face is scary as hell. His face looks strict. The other one has a wide body structure compared to the mother of Leon, and he's like six feet or more.

Gah. Why did they have the same height?

Not that I'm short. I'm 5'9 myself. I didn't expect to see a lot of tall people here.

"Who's this, Leon?" the scary man questioned. His voice is like the depths of the ground.

Leon shrugged as if he were used to this man's glare.

There were a lot of questions forming in my mind, but I stayed silent because I felt like I could lose my head if I suddenly talked.

"It's a woman." He suddenly touched my shoulder and pulled me to go beside him.

"Woman?" Leon's mother looked at me up and down.

Don't tell me that Leon is telling the truth. I cannot and will not believe it until I see it with my own eyes!

Me? The only woman? For others, this is kind of special. For me, I feel scared more.

What if they come and get me? Will I experience being taken advantage of every goddamn time?

I don't want it! I want to go home!

"Where did you get her, Leon?" the tallest man asked in a cold voice.

"I bought her." Leon just walked suddenly inside the house with me while the two men were left alone outside.

"Abeleon Schrutz!"

I think I heard a voice coming from the sky when I heard the voice of one of the men Leon left behind outside the house.

Abeleon? The name sounds familiar, but I don't exactly remember where I heard it before.

Did I get reincarnated into a book? A movie? A comic? What?! I don't know! It's frustrating to be this dumb!

"Don't mind my father. Let's go." He gently pulled me, and we started to walk again.

W-Wait! What did he mean by let's go? Where did he plan to take me?

Before I could ask him a question again, I realized that we were already inside one of the rooms in their mansion.

The designs are vintage. Honestly, I expected that since I think this is a medieval era. But I don't get it. Based on their clothes, they are wearing modern clothes like tuxedos and suits.

Leon finally removed the mask that had covered half of his face for too long. He looked at me, and when I finally saw his whole face, I almost left my mouth open.

Handsome. He has the perfect shape of a face, doesn't have any dirt on his face, and has perfect kissable lips. His skin is the perfect resemblance of Filipino.

And his name is Abeleon?

"Um... Can I ask?" I still tried to speak even though I felt the nervousness slowly eating me up.

I feel shivering in my whole body. I'm nervous to ask this question, but maybe my suspicions are right. I want to confirm it right now before I make any mistakes.

"Yes, and sit." He pointed to the bed where he was sitting now.

"A-Ah? Sit over there?" I laugh because I'm nervous. I'm okay staying here. I am more comfortable here." I slowly sit down on the floor where there is a carpet.

"Then, don't ask me anything." He removed his suit, but the white sando stayed in his body. He remains seated in his bed.

I sighed in annoyance. I don't have a choice but to get up and sit on the bed, still far away from him. I badly want to ask questions, but there is only one question that is important to me right now. Everything will make sense if he answers this one.

"Why are you sitting over there? Come here." He pats the space beside him.

Is he kidding me? I don't want to sit beside him! I still had my pride until now!

Ugh... Whatever."

There is nothing I can do right now. I have nothing I can do to fight him. One wrong move, and I might be found dead the next minute.

I thought he was going to do something once I finally sat down, but he just chose to play with my hair.

I hope he does not change his mind and do something crazy again.

"Ask."

I scratched my head. Where am I? What is the name of this place again?

He stared at me. I gulped my saliva because of his intensifying stare. Now, I am more afraid of his answer.

"We're in Avellan," he muttered, lying on the bed.

A-Avellan?

I gasp. Oh, holy sh*t! My guess is right!

I got inside the book entitled How to Make a Baby. where only men exist. That will answer the question of why no woman is living here, and he called the man his mom. This book is tagged as MPREG!

"Sleep."

I almost shouted when he pulled me to lie down too, but he just blankly stared at me and finally closed his eyes while still holding the chain that was connected to my neck.

The f*ck is wrong with him!

I want to punch him right now, but my life is more important than anything else. That is why I just stared at him while he was sleeping.

I sighed.

This Abeleon guy—what was his role in the book again?

I . .  .  Forgot.
