My heart raced as I followed Lucian out of my room. We climbed up the stairs and stopped when we came to a black door.

I didn't know where the door led to as I have never been to this part of the house, or should I say mansion.

"Make yourself comfortable," Lucian told me as he offered me a seat. I still wasn't used to this polite side of him but I guess people change once you get to know them.

I know I also wasn't behaving the way I did when I first got here. I'm calmer now ...
