I watched as Naomi bounced her feet up and down in excitement. We were in the car heading to the airport but she didn't know that yet. 

She probably thought we were driving to a hotel around but I fully intended to fly her out of the country, even if only for a few days. 

I had gotten a lead on the vampires responsible for setting my warehouse on fire and I wanted to go investigate.
