I stared at the floor as I realized that one of my subjects who had quickly run in front of me to save me from the danger had dropped on the floor. A ball of tears formed in my eyes, I just had to endure the pain myself.

I knelt down close to him trying to see if there was still a chance or probably hope for him to live again, but I guess it was late, his breath was faint. It was going to take a lot of time before we could get somewhere he could even be treated.
