I sat up, staring into space, willing the flashes to become solid pieces instead of just fading away, and making zero sense.

That was definitely me, and it was Valerie's yard, but when did it happen? And why was I there when I'd naturally never go there for anything?

“Are you alright?” Elaine asked me, and my gaze snapped sharply at her.

“I’m completely fine. Just a random memory.”
