My eyes sprang open in the dark, and tears fell from them.

I didn't think I would forget Nikkie of all people. I loved him. From the start of my life, till the present, he was the only person I'd ever wanted badly enough for me to ache. 

Some nights, I'd wish he was sleeping right next to me, on the same bed, touching my face, and then I'd touch his, and kiss his soft lips.
