Nathan’s POV

The stars had started to fade into the first shades of dawn by the time I finally sat up, brushing bits of grass from my shirt. Adina was still lying beside me, her eyes half-closed, a faint, peaceful smile curving her lips. For a moment, I didn’t want to disturb her. Seeing her like that calm, untouched by worry, was rare but I knew we couldn’t linger much longer.

“It’s time to go home,” I said softly.
