Adina's POV

The morning light filtered through the dense canopy of trees, casting a soft, dappled glow on the floor of the car. I lay wrapped in a blanket, the lingering chill from the previous night's terror still a faint shiver in my bones. My mind, however, was a whirlwind of a different kind of storm.
