Adina's POV

His anger was a tangible thing, a heavy weight in the air that pressed down on me. I stood there, caught in the beam of his furious gaze, my mind a whirlwind of panicked thoughts. I had pushed him too far. He was right. I was hiding something. I had acted on a cold, terrible suspicion, accusing him of the very things he had promised he would never do. I had questioned his love, his honesty, his very nature. And he had every right to be furious.
