The night had unfolded like a dream. The music, the laughter, the shimmering lights, all of it felt so surreal that I had to keep reminding myself that it was real, that this wasn’t one of my visions. I moved through the crowd slowly, greeting the pack members who smiled and bowed at me with such warmth it almost brought tears to my eyes.
