The lecturer finally closed his notes and adjusted his glasses.

“That’s all for today. Don’t forget the assignment due next week.”

Aika barely heard him. Her chin rested on her palm, long lashes half-lowered, her breasts pressed tight against her desk. The classroom was a wide, polished space—mahogany desks, tall windows letting in afternoon light—but the moment he stepped out, silence fell like a curtain.
