“I really hope he takes the bait this time,” Ava muttered under her breath, checking herself out for the umpteenth time.

She had always believed she was meant to be Asher’s woman. Since they were young, she’d told anyone who’d listen that he belonged to her—even while he’d been dating Melina.

Now that Melina was gone and Asher still refused to move on, Ava had decided it was time to claim her rightful place. One way or another.
